Greyhound Park is closed, standing empty. A great park and swap is held certain Saturdays in the parking lot. Stockyards LONG gone, Stockyards Restaurant still there.

This post could be out of the realm of Phoenix history, but I'll give it a shot.
With some asking about Cloud 9 and the Stockyards, it got me to thinking of the original Cowpuncher Steakhouse restaurant, that was located at Perryville Rd. and MC 85, just outside of Buckeye.
The sign was still there last I drove by it and is prominent in this GE street view.

Anyone remember it?

Yes I remember Cosmos and there was a 2nd one on the corner of Power Rd and Williams Field Rd, just outside the Wliiams AFB front gate. Tremendous pizza and Italian food!

I remember taking bull dairy calves to auction at the stockyards when I was a kid. We ate in the restaurant on special occasions. I'd love to try it again after it's revamp, if only it didn't require a trip to the valley.
