I don't care how much Komen backpedals; Komen has received it's last dollar from us.
We will increase our donations to Planned Parenthood and NARAL.
I've been sick and tired for years with the anti-abortion crowd and will continue to oppose them and their religious neanderthals.
BTW: An exec at Komen is so upset about the cuts to PP, that she has resigned in protest; Komen will regret this fiasco for many years.

Komen was losing employees, volunteers, sponsors and donors. They are a non-profit organization, those are EXACTLY the people they should be listening to. I am a big beliver in the process, and this is how the process works.
People spoke with their wallets and their time. They wanted those cancer screenings to continue to be funded. And now they will.
Disagreement is part of a healthy democracy. Strong disagreement NORMAL. People execrising that right are not bullying anyone, despite people on both sides trying to demonize each other for disagreeing.
Disagree. A terrorist is as a terrorist animates themselves in word and deed. If they didn't conduct themselves as demons they wouldn't find themselves called out as demons.
RTL orchestrating a multi pronged assault of this org to further it's smarmy agenda vicariously is destructive. There is no low they won't stoop. They refuse to do their homework as to the root causes of the problems, they can't constructively work on offering better choices, and so they engage in destructive tactics disrupting those who do facilitate prevention, solutions, and choices. True justice would mean Komen foundation handing RTL the bill for the damages. Matter of fact, Planned Parenthood ought to hand them a bill for decades of libel & inciting violence as well.
Where are the RTL sliding scale health clinics dispensing prenatal vitamins? Where are their not for profit adoption agencies? ::crickets:: Instead, they've squandered billions for decades corrupting public policy to create the very conditions that would encourage more abortions to be chosen by women in poverty. The more hatred & ignorance they promulgate in the world, the more they persist in peddling predator theology, the more abortions they themselves create, and blame on their very own children.

no, they told the ex and I up front that they do not provide mammograms or screening for breast cancer. they did admit to us that they do provide paps.
Nobody said they provide mamograms. The breast exam is what a Dr does during a health check. They do that, even my GP does that, it's part of a woman's physical exam, front line stuff. Then if they suspect something they refer you to a specialist.
I suspect you were asking the question in such a way as to get the answer you wanted to hear (ie: NO) or you are making it up.
These are christian and pro life links, why doesn't that surprise me
While I'm glad you used a small c to describe the behavior of these individuals, I would hope Christianity would find it's way to removing that label from them permanently. Taliban agendas, whether it be muslim, jewish, or christian, is still taliban.
In defense of my faith... practicing Christians do not lie, bait or otherwise herd people into evil. They do not instill irrational fear or terrorize people in confused states to run off a cliff. They do not engage in treacherous behavior. They do not pray for failure &/or retribution, but for wisdom and salvation. They do not aspire for world dominion of all others or rob anyone of free will. They do not worship themselves. They lead by personal example, and help, not harm, where they are able.
Yeah, because it's stupid to oppose murder. Let's all donate to poor planned parenthood before they go broke and the sky starts falling.
