Will the MSM ever deal with the fact young Black males kill at 10 times the rate of Whites and Hispanics combined? (house of representatives, Congress)

When black people WERE enslaved by white people, their murder rate was infinitesimal.
^This.
What we're seeing now in mostly impoverished Black communities across America is a result of well-intentioned but **** poorly-implemented policies during the 60's and 70's. We're still early in our evolution as a "free" people in the U.S. so we're still in the process of figuring out how to undo that damage.

Excellent commentary. I saw Bob Beckel (Democrat) on "The Five" a few weeks ago actually admitting that Democrats had made a mistake several decades back with their social welfare programs that accelerated the breakdown of the black family and the rise of the welfare mentality--amongst both blacks and whites. This had an across-the-board negative effect. How to undo this and turn it around has both politicians and social scientists shaking their heads with no one agreeing on the best course of action.
So, Edward, did you bother to take the time last night to listen or call into WPFW's 2K Nation show? (note: radio station local to both Edward and myself). The black host was presenting the question, "how can we, the black community, take all the energy that's been produced by the Trayvon Martin shooting, and turn it into doing something to address the problems within the black community?"
This could not be, according to you! I must have imagined it.
Black callers were bringing up ideas about strengthening the family, reducing absentee father-ism, church involvement in trying to reduce black violence, presenting a message that if you're going to fight, then using your fists and then calling it 'done' should earn more respect than shooting your opponent, which should earn you great disrespect, teaching kids to spend their money wisely and that spending money on symbols of conspicuous wealth does nothing for enhancing the lives of black people, whereas they could instead invest that money back into the community, stressing higher education and being an involved parent, looking out for others just as you would for your own family members, etc etc etc. They weren't pulling any punches about endemic problems of crime and violence, under-achievement, young and single motherhood, and more.
I kept thinking about you, since you continually charge black people and the black community with refusing to acknowledge societal problems and blaming everything on whites. Were you doing your part to work on a problem by giving your views or taking notes from the show, or did you just continue your lovefest with white bigots on internet forums?
Do people ever ask why? Why is it crime is allowed in certain neighborhoods. Why is it Package stores are allowed in certain neighborhoods? Why is it profiling is allowed? Why is it people some people have to consider what name they give their babies? How many of you know people who use drugs (any) or have used drugs and have not been arrested?
Let's consider the areas of prostitution, porn, financial fraud or fraud in general. So society as a whole has problems no matter the race. Here's the kicker. Crime is profitable for some. Take away opportunity and make guns accessible all that's needed is to build the jails which feed the bologna industry amongst others.
People can do their own research on people who have tried to live the life of a Black man and consider their findings. I think even one person who tried it didn't last 24 hours. In all things follow the money. I say put yourself in the place of the person you condemn and consider how you would react.
Just as an example here is a Presidential candidate speaking and what is his mindset? He may not be saying what it seems he is about to say but hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. People mentionAl Sharpton and others but he and others just may not be the decision makers in power to effect laws and procedures.
So what was he going to say? Remember this is a Presidential candidate. Why is crime, drugs and guns allowed to be brought into some communities and not others. Sometimes we have to look at the system rather than the outcome. When there's no hope for a future there's no future. Everyone is being played by the money.

This is intriguing. Is there a video available of this research or experiment? Maybe a published article on their findings? I'd love to read it.

I've stated my views repeatedly. Once again however you all are not my community. I've made the conscience decision not to get mixed up with you all. Sure I travel in circles of educated African Americans so I know not all are far gone but at the end of the day you all aren't my people. I wish you luck in fixing your problems.
