My company has been struggling for the past 3 years. They're trying to stay afloat as long as they can, but we all know we can't hang on for another 4 or 5 years.

I'm starting to believe you don't read your own material. They also fell short of their sales goal, lost stock value, and need to make layoffs anyway to compensate--not to mention 1300 of the 1400 jobs they are cutting are jobs overseas.
So, the layoffs were already happening regardless of the Obamacare mandates and taxes.
Perhaps the biggest issue is their consideration of moving jobs over to China. Nobody likes China.
It's official: Anyone who lays off a worker from November 6th 2012 to November 8th 2016 is directly doing so because Obamacare is destroying the world.
They needed to make layoffs anyway, so no big deal if they make even more layoffs?
This company didn't specifically announce layoffs, but said they won't build more, won't hire more and will have to cut either employees or their hours.
"An Applebee's New York area franchisee is the latest CEO to go public threatening drastic plans to avoid costs associated with the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.
"We've calculated it will [cost] some millions of dollars across our system. So what does that say -- that says we won't build more restaurants. We won't hire more people," Zane Tankel, chairman and CEO of Apple-Metro, told Fox Business Network on Thursday."
"Tankel also felt he had little choice in what he called a "fragile environment" but to cut employees or their hours: "In this environment, you can't raise prices, particularly in our space. It's not possible. Efficiencies, hopefully we got all of our efficiencies. We've just faced three terrible years in the environment and the economy. We've been enforcing and putting more and more in every year. So then it's cut back on overhead."
