Yes we could learn a lot from them....but we won't. Instead we spend way too much time being paranoid about our own Government. I have news for some of you obsessed with internal hate, it is us, WE are the Government . If you don't like some things, work to change them ...VOTE.

The 2nd Amendment is for our protection against government.
If you do not like our( yours too) Government , than move! Your Government only exist because of the wisdom our Founding Fathers had. I think you have it backwards, or, are afraid of yourself, YOU, WE, are the Government.

you might think we are the government, but that sort of thinking actually stopped being the case when fdr got elected. now our government murders its citizens and congress just makes more laws to protect themselves.

Sadly you are a good example of negative thinking, and a very sour grape hate that's lasted 80 years or more. I sure would not want to be in your shoes, feeling depressed every day of your life!

The last half dozen presidential elections have been nothing more than a "lesser of 2 evils" contest. Anyone who claims otherwise is delusional. Add on the fact that the legislative branch of our government is involved in the largest game of "mine's bigger than yours" that has ever existed and both sides are perfectly willing to tank our nation in order to be declared the winner, and you might start to see how "we the people" no longer feel that it is "our" government.

"Gun violence" is not the problem. PREDATORS are the problem. If you think you can stop predators by disarming the law abiding people, good luck with that. Maybe you should buy stock in a yellow tape company.

FWIW didn't CRY ALREADY have an "assault weapons" ban in place? ...just as the National ban was in place during Columbine....

I guess the bans are pretty effective then huh?

When the USA goes Bankrupt and we will. Entitlement checks will bounce, you will wish you have an assault rifle or two and lots of ammo. Don't belive me, look at the mounting debt we have - search Google for debt clock and watch it. We are not making money, we are spending it as fast as we are printing it. And, if we default on paying back China, what do you think may happen?

Its not good, but its not at all like you make it out to be. I used to be an "investor" of PMs physical holdings. There were then and still are today, many" survivor types " who was sure our dollar would collapse totally. Inflation would skyrocket, the streets would be full of desperate people, on and on.
The truth is it never happened and I was talking about 40 years ago when I started to collect PMs. I never became a radical who moved to the mtns. in Idaho built a compound, lots of guns and ammo stores in underground bunkers. etc. There are still folks out there that think this way, thats fine, we are all entitled to our beliefs.... Some things that were over inflated was/is the fact China "owns" us money wise by buying up our debt . Its not so, very small amount compared to other Countries, like Canada. In fact China has become less interested in investing the US, in part to the needs they have internally with a growing middle class. The one thing we can do, that many can not, is print money. They used to say the more you print the higher inflation would be. IE; the reason for PMs. Today as bad as it looks, we have almost no inflation and yes the Fed is printing money as fast as the printing presses can crank out the green paper. The real truth is there is still a lot of demand for US investments and the AMERICAN DOLLAR.
