What the govt gives can be taken away.... The govt didn't give us guns.....

Marriage is a privilege and you must request a lic to marry. That can be taken away in a moments notice.

i am ok with a union, but i am far from ok with special privilege and any dollar investment into ways to create life thru any means other than natural. I suspect gays will want the govt to invest time and tax dollars to research ways to create life (children) by and for ssm.

As you say........ Not a question of "if", merely "when" and "how".

Procreation IS what marriage is about right?

So infertile or elderly couples shouldn't be allowed to marry?

You're mixing up "marriage" and "sex." Sex is a physical and biological partnership. Marriage is an emotional and social partnership.

Shove what in your face?

Seriously, dude, you need to just get over it because marriage equality is happening whether you like it or not. The day may very well be coming that you have a same sex legally married couple as your next door neighbors or maybe even (gasp!) within your own family.

And same sex couples will be adopting and raising happy and loved and well-adjusted children who may even play with your own children (or grandchildren).

The only "evil" are people like you who want to deny couples the basic human rights that you enjoy.

I swear, you seem to think that if you keep spamming City Data with your hate and bigotry and outrage that it will stop it.

You're not changing anything so maybe you should just embrace the inevitable.

Nope. I'm married, absolutely adore my wife, and want nothing to do with children. She is surgically fixed, which was done before our nuptials.

Bingo, and reps for you!

Not surprised a fellow San Franciscan would post the most logical reply, lol.

I've asked that question of anti-gays for years, and have yet to read/hear a true reply... will this poster be the first? Doubtful, since there really is NO retort they could offer (hence the cricket chirping whenever it is asked).

Tell that to the churches in my state that ARE performing legal same sex weddings.

I am a Jew, and completely disagree with "NYJew's" views on this issue - so much so, I have him on ignore. So he certainly doesn't speak for all of us, nor are all who support equality for gays anti-religion. One of the sweetest ladies I know is a born-again Christian, who has a gay daughter she loves unconditionally (and she supports gay marriage 100%).
