Oh, spare us the BS... within MINUTES of his speech airing, there were like three conservative-started threads yammering on about his race (see the one titled "here's a BLACK man you can be proud of," for one). I can't speak for anyone else here, but that's how I immediately got the feeling you're all trying to come up with a new Black candidate - not just a candidate who is qualified, but one who also hits that demographic you keep losing.
I couldn't care less about his race, but it's obviously something important to the righties who are so enthralled by him. If anything, that is even more offensive, since quite a few are acting like it's a shocker for a non-white to be so fantastic (to them). It's like the old "he's so articulate!"
This is what the Carson commotion on the Right is all about - facades and image manipulation.
The repubs are on a search for minority faces to put before the public and get rich white Wall Street republicans elected in 2014, and they have found two so far - Rubio and Carson. The republican base is Wall Street billionaires and other wealthy right-wing Americans but there are obviously not enough votes here, so they must find more votes somewhere, anywhere.
They will heavily court the minority vote for 2014, and then ignore them because they cannot and will not give up on their wealthy constituency.
Carson was grand standing to give a political speech at a "prayer breakfast", he should be ashamed of himself, the man has zero class.

The New Plantation has been and continues to be an enterprise practiced from the top down with a racially diverse group of managers acting as field foreman in Congress. The separation and division of minority and white "have nots" from all the "haves', in general, has been an intentional culling out of the American population, hardly the vision the founders intended as they made no mention of establishing "target groups"...as the demonRATs did, to legally execute "public policy".

How could I say anything without having observed how he conducts himself? I don't like answering a question with a question, but your question was ill-conceived.

I used the "mulatto" reference as it's accurate to denote half white and half black. The meaning you should have taken from that was he squandered an opportunity, because many people of BOTH races saw him as I described and it's why they voted for him. He deceived them and that's more than obvious. He set about appealing to "target group" classes of our society with two objectives. 1) To garner their support and their future votes AND to enable a division based upon envy and anger. White against black, rich against poor, young against old and 2) all to enable his legacy of bringing down this system to remake it in a latter-day Marxian version of socialism. Obozo is a purely political animal, nothing more. He has no "'socially redeeming value".
