Cons are not pro-life, they are pro-birth. Being pro-life means that after the child is born, there is a responsibility to feed, cloth, shelter, and educate the child. "Pro-lifers" are the first ones to attack programs that help children born into poverty. (Income is the most important determinant in having an abortion).
Plus, it is not like their God really cares about abortion. After all, God commits the most abortions every year via miscarriages and stillborns. Therefore, it amazes me that religious conservatives use Christian theology to oppose abortion. If the Abrahamic God was really against abortion, then he would have designed women in a way that miscarriages and stillborns never happened.
Abortion has been conducted since humanity entered this world and it will continue to happen regardless of legality.
Comparing death camps to abortion though, that's asinine.
People have been killing each other since Cain and Able, but that doesn't make it right.
Comparing death camps to abortion is asinine. The abortionists in this country have killed off some 55,000,000 babies since Roe v. Wade in 1973. Nazi concentration camps killed about 10,000,000. The Nazis were pikers compared to this country.

Talk about backwards thinking.
An acorn isn't an oak tree no matter how many times you say it will be one day. Same with a fetus. You can't kill something that isn't able to live on its own.
Neither should stupid people. WOOPS! Guess you can't regulate freedom though!
Unfortunately, you can't force marriage due to pregnancy. So, what option besides abortion is there to fix that problem and the problem of relying on the government to support your child? - Which I do not agree with, but fact is fact whether I agree or approve same with everyone else. It's a shame, truly. But what other option is there aside from crowded foster homes full of unloved children.
I know you can't force people to get married, but if marriage is the only way to support the child then more people will choose that option. Welfare discourages marriage because adding another income decreases your chances of getting it. The taxpayers are not the fathers of these children.
I am not against welfare (or abortion by the way). There are times when people need the extra help. I just think it's the biggest poverty trap there is, and it discourages two-parent households.
I must be very different than other conservatives. I am much more anti-welfare than anti-abortion. Let's say a pregnant woman plans on going on welfare, foodstamps, etc. and wants to have Medicaid pay for her birth. I would love it if the government stepped in and forced her to have an abortion. Our national debt is already at obscene levels how dare people bring children into the world they can't support.
Conservatives respect life and liberty, and the pursuit of ones own happiness, whatever that may be; but we are also rational enough to realize no person should obtain their liberty and happiness at the expense of others, to, and including killing another human being for the sake of convenience.
But not to pursue happiness if it means getting married to the same sex. Many conservatives are quite hotly opposed to allowing that.
Meanwhile, since you're so concerned about putting a stop to abortion, please explain to us as to how you would force a woman from getting an abortion?
