It'll come to that anyway. The Republicans, for the most part, have been co-opted by corporate interests (which are eerily similar to communism in their m.o.) and the people are so captivated by TV that I can see the U.S. sliding away into total tyranny.

In fact, having a higher IQ is more likely to make you see the world for what it really is. That may hamper some people.

Well the repubs can go the way of the democrats... The USA is still young enough it can rebuild or it can die.
I am on the short end of the stick myself so there is little I can do, but there is little I must fear.

For me if they wanna dance it's a matter of who wants to go home for dinner. In the USA we have guys like gunlover here, and others like my son and I assume what his present son will be like.

These swine proggy libs won't matter in the long run as they are some short on morals and have no ethics and mostly all they are is fat lazy talk.

I do CD to stay in touch with a world i don't see and don't live in. I live in the boonies and like it that way. My wife isn't a shopaholic either. She isn't a make up queen and has the look of real health. On a rare 'night' she might slather on a hint of gold eye shadow and tease me, but that is a rare event as is her wine.

Yeah for a fact the USA has a Elite problem. That needs to be fixed.

It's good to know there are a few real Americans left. I think a huge pillar of the current power structure would be obliterated if people tossed their TVs into the trash, though. I'm convinced it holds a huge amount of power over those addicted to it.

I haven't taken an I.Q. test in years, but the last time I did my results were in the high 130's as well. However, I can also start a fire with 2 sticks, with flint and steel, and with a fire bow. I also know how to live off the land and took survival trips several times when I was younger and didn't have 1/4 and 1/2 scale humans clamoring at my feet.

I'm looking forward to the time when my girls are old enough that I can take them into the woods without being overly worried about their curiosity getting the better of their common sense. Give us a couple of years and we'll be heading out of Florida to the Northwest, probably Montana from the research we've done so far. Can't wait to get to an area where taking the kids camping is something you can do in the summertime without dealing with the sweltering heat.

I'd be perfectly happy if my TV disappeared, for the most part. My wife, on the other hand, would be less than pleased . As the old saying goes, if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy, so I'll keep the TV around for her and the kids. My addiction is the internet.

I know it may seem misogynistic to say it, but I'd put my foot down and get rid of it for the good of my family.

It's already pretty limited. The kids only get an hour or so a day during the week and two to three a day on weekends of television and are very limited on what they can watch (educational programs and children's programs that promote moral behavior) and the wife only watches the occasional movie and competition style show. Not really that big of an influence on anyone in the house. With both girls starting Girl Scouts in the next couple of weeks there will be even less time for television, so it's an evil I'm willing to live with for the time being.

Everyone on the internet has an IQ higher than 130, owns 4 companies and is independently wealthy, they stated it so it must be true.

To say that this thread has gone off topic is an understatement.
