That story just sounds really dumb. He walks in to see his daughter in bed with some guy and she jumps up saying "I don't know this man" and the father believes it and shoots the dude. Why not just hold him at gunpoint and get someone to call the cops?

People lives are being cut short when they don't need to be. Like seriously, this is why people are for gun control because everyone wants to shoot up anything and everything with no type of rational thinking.

That's funny. No one shoots a gun to warn someone. You shoot when you feel threatned

I lock my doors at night for 2 reasons.
Primary: To safeguard my family and possessions
Secondary: For your protection

Stay on the other side of my door and we both stay safe.
Be found on my side of the LOCKED doors (at any of my family's sleeping hours) and neither of us is safe.

The young man is dead and it's tragic for sure. But if he had been where he was supposed to be (not in my daughters bedroom), doing what he was supposed to be doing (not breaching the security of my home), he would be alive today. To all of you clowns that would've baked a pan of brownies and carried a plate of them up to your daughters bedroom to make proper introductions with your intruder, I'm sure your family feels secure to have you as the guardian of their safety. Bravo.

The daughter tells the dad that she does not know who it is.
Dad says, "don't move".
The idiot teen goes to reach for something, who knows what it was.
The dad, at 2 something in the morning, in his daughter's room with a stranger that HE doesn't know, and she claims not to know, doesn't even hesitate to stop the person from doing a damn thing.

But you all sit back and act like they were having this conversation over a cup of tea in the middle of the afternoon on a brightly lit sunny day.

Such stupidity.
Exactly!
