That's too bad because if you did you'd be making a true statement for once.
A gun is nothing more than a tool, when gun nuts stop acting like a gun is their ticket to being superheros, then maybe we would have a real dialogue about real gun safety and real gun regulations.
Maybe she was carrying a gun that doesn't have a safety. Why do people drone on and on trying to impress us with their so called knowledge when they have no clue what they're talking about?
Firearms are my business. If you followed my posts you would know that I teach CCW classes. I also am a national USPSA competitor. What gun doesn't have a safety and doesn't have at least a 6 lb trigger pull? A small kid won't be able to pull the trigger on a striker fired double action gun.
If it was a 1911 type, then it was definitely chambered and safety would have had to be off. If it was a revolver, the hammer would have had to be cocked for the kid to be able to pull the trigger.
Like I said earlier, training is invaluable, but I'm biased about that.
This was a tragic accident by yet another gun owner that really should not have owned a gun, the child's mother is dead and the 2 year old will grow up knowing that he killed his mother. This is senseless and yet you compare this to a ban on dish towels, there are too many people that have guns and the NRA's answer is always more guns.
The answer is to stop with your irrational fears and using them to blame an inanimate object.
People leave kids unattended in cars and even get run over and killed as a result. If you are careless you stand the chance of suffering great bodily injury or death whatever inanimate object you are handling. The Mother acted irresponsibly and paid the ultimate price. Ban Alchohol becuase people act irresponsibly and other people get killed as a result. We could add to the list but I am sure you get the idea.
So you gunnies are going to modify the second and add 2A to require that car drivers be trained as well?
Technically one needs to get a license to be able to drive a car on public roads, maybe he is suggesting that to own a gun one needs to have a license.
It might. But as long as there are anti gunners that would use these licenses to remove guns if they got the chance, 2a supporters won't let this happen.

Here's the problem:
"The victim's father-in-law, Terry Rutledge, told The Associated Press that Veronica Rutledge "was a beautiful, young, loving mother."
"She was not the least bit irresponsible," Terry Rutledge said. "She was taken much too soon."
