My family's coverage was awesome until the BSC Obamacare started. Now, as everyone else said, the deductibles are through the roof.

Everyone in my family has been severely harmed by Obamacare Sux. In my case, it's cost me an additional $10K than my former 'Cadillac Policy' and cost my son similarly due to his company's 'Cadillac Policy" they discontinued. In my daughter's case, her and her husband make just enough to avoid getting subsidized and now no longer access health care since Obamacare Sux passed due to the super high deductibles and has made their life much worse off.

I plan to retire in a few months still in my 50's and take enough out of my investments to live on in order to get subsidized health care and get that $10K back and then turn a profit on it.

You have a much better health care system than we do but your unemployment rate is more than double the USA and average wealth is less than 1/3rd( OECD: France $48,741 vs USA $145,769) of what it is in the USA. So we'll cope.

I would bet on Obama calling Americans who say they can't afford to use their forced purchase Obamacare, "shameful."

Almost useless, because it's performing as designed. Those without taking responsibility for themselves who have no decent job are getting free healthcare, and the rest of us that work hard are paying for it.

Source is that they spend much less and end up getting better results (you can look at data from a number of sources such as OECD, CIA Factbook and others that support this conclusion). In my opinion, the reason French live longer than Americans is primarily due to less obesity and a better diet. To really compare, you would have to adjust for the very different demographics in the two countries but I'm convinced their health care system is superior to ours based on lower costs and better results. I do think we have fantastic health care available in the USA but it is super expensive.

They also have a 20% VAT tax, and their 41% marginal income rate kicks in at the equivalent of a $76,000 income.

In direct contrast, the U.S. has no VAT, and the U.S. marginal federal income tax rate of 39.6% doesn't kick in until one's income is higher than $413,000.

Americans won't pay adequate taxes to fund it, so they don't get national health care. Simple as that.
