I'm willing to spend an additional $0.30 for a head of lettuce or $0.50 for a chicken if it's processed by American workers.
Agreed. It'd be money well spent IMHO.

You wouldn't have to. It would still be the same price because guess workers would just be imported in larger numbers to fill the gap is all. Georgia learned that one out the hard way and so did eastern shore crab houses in Maryland. Most Americans have zero desire to do either. You are kidding yourself if you think that is going to alter. Unskilled workers will simply be imported every year to fill the jobs is all.

These jobs are becoming less and less appealing to Americans as more of the youth enter the age that they can go into the work force. You can either go to college for 4 years and get an office job that pays you 45-50 with benefits to start or you can bust your ass for 12-13 bucks an hour to start. Just how many of the young adults you think are picking the latter these days?
Funny. Any In N Out Burger I eat at has Americans working there of ANY "race" but they also pay well.

The law CAN be changed to lock up any KNOWN illegal alien or even refugee till their cases are heard. Australia does it and I'm 100 sure Canada does something similar.

You pointed it out my friend. "They also pay well." I'm sure if McDonalds or Wendy's paid well you would get the same reality. I worked McDonalds as a teen for a whole 2 weeks until I got a job waiting tables at Pizza Hut. I also didn't have parents that paid for most of my non necessities either. I'm not sure I would have done even that if they had done that for me.

I know one thing: a lot of roofs here in North Texas would not be replaced, as they currently are due to hail (including my house, this very weekend). Lots of job openings for roofer (which can pay around $40,000 a year), but few legal takers.

Sad!

They can already do that.

For instance almost in any of these big estimates they have the cost of educating the legal children of the illegals. But they are all American citizens who will almost certainly return to the US poorly equipped to do well but fully able to ride the welfare system. Likely costs will far exceed having properly educated in integrated them. And pretty quick those returned and unprepared citizens will begin replicating...
Birthright CAN be stopped; Dominican Republic just did. Tho to fair, be yanking birthright back to 1929 IS going way too far IMHO. But cutting it off for US born kids under 18 years old unless 1 parent was a US citizen I'd be Ok with.

It can't without a SC ruling on the subject or a new amendment. Neither of which is likely to happen.
