<<A top GOP chairman on Tuesday shot down one of Donald Trump’s most high-profile healthcare pitches: allowing Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices.

When asked at a healthcare panel at the Republican National Convention if he would back Trump's proposal, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) flatly said, "No," prompting laugher in the room....>>

GOP chair won't back Trump on negotiating Medicare drug prices | TheHill

Republican leaders don't want drug price negotiation.

Meanwhile, Hillary will have to deal with both Democratic Party leadership and a base that does want drug price controls. Trump, if elected, may be able to withstand robust popular demand for drug price controls, but not Hillary, especially if a Democratic Congress is in place to prod her.

Of course they can. The rights to exclusive use of the patent. The patent itself is always owned by the inventor(s). they can also sell rights to the patents to others or be forced by regulators or other government agencies to license others. In some cases the courts may force payments but not allow a refusal to use.

It can be very complex.

And you prove this by quoting Trump saying he would push for the ability to negotiate prices?

Obama said he was going to do all of these things also but did the exact opposite.

Let's vote for the doctor.

Jill Stein 2016.

Complex you say? Your double speak tells enough. A corporation can buy a patent and own it but then the rights are always owned by the inventor?

Yes, that is quite complex.

If a corporation buys a patent, no it is not still owned by the inventor.

The article said that Trump backed off this policy when confronted with Congressional Republican opposition.

How did Obama do the opposite? He couldn't push negotiated price through a Congress with Republican partisanship opposition, and neither could Democrats in Congress, and neither could Jill Stein.

Bottom line: If negotiated drug prices are a priority, don't vote for Republicans.

Here in WV this is the thing. It was a big story when it was revealed how West Virginia University granted her an MBA without actually doing the work and the only reason was because of Joe.

Please document Jill Stein's policy on negotiated drug prices.
She wants to eliminate private health insurance, and reduce prescription drug prices by negotiating bulk purchases.

On Obama.

The Obameter: Allow Medicare to negotiate for cheaper drug prices | PolitiFact

They had the votes to make this happen in 2009-10. Instead they passed a massive give away to the pharmaceutical and insurance industries and it's an epic failure.
