Neither my post or the OPs is about gladly paying anything, but whether or not we purposefully go out of our way to pay the most/least. Again, not once in either of your post have you responded to the premise of the thread, and have instead chose to attack those who have responded.
As for paying taxes in and of itself(and statism), By your definition this country was founded on that.
Since the FBI declined to charge Hillary with a crime, some people scream 'right wing conspiracy' as to the email situation, since no illegal activity(again, per the FBI), took place.
These same people are attacking Trumps tax history, despite the lack of any charges of illegal activity by the IRS.
So, I guess we need to go along with the FBI, but totally ignore the IRS?
To be fair, the Dems aren't really accusing Trump of doing anything illegal ( although if they can confuse a few intellectually bankrupt, low-info people in to believing that, all the better ) They are making a supposed "moral argument" in an effort to inflame and exploit the aggravations of their beloved victim class with political gain in mind.

its a moral argument that Trump himself has made though.
But to be clear, its not even about that. Its proof that he isnt a great business man. The fact that his companies have failed is a better argument than his taxes in and of themselves.

Actually that is NOT the premise of my original post, rather, more of a rhetorical question meant to compliment the premise. The premise is, if Trump didn't do anything illegal and the tax codes are written in such a way that he hasn't had to pay Federal taxes for 18 years, than why is this even a thing? Why are people blaming Trump when they should be directing their anger toward the tax codes?
Three pages deep and still waiting for someone to give me a good answer to that.
I dont know if you are being obtuse or not so ill just respond this way
Both "way overpaying" and what is considered a fair share are opinions.
now if you wanted to argue simply that they were overpaying as a percentage, that would be a fact. when you add in an adjective for the amount, it is then an opinion.
