If you want Muslim refugees so bad, then why don't you host them in your own home?
Oh I don't know, for the same reason it was wrong to turn away Anne Frank and her family as refugees so they could be killed by the Nazis. Not everyone thinks and acts completely in their own self-interest.
As to your assertion "Syrian refugees have done more harm than good", citation please.

That isn't ironic, it's totally logical.

The Holocaust occurred in part because U.S. nativists refused to accept Jewish refugees, calling them "anti-Western terrorists", due to the America First movement of the 1930's (sound familiar?).

It would be insane for Jewish Americans to support a policy that led to extermination of half their religion.

The foundation of the United States is at risk. You are an immigrant unless you are Native American. We used to be know as the "free world". Trump has ruined that it the first days of his presidency. We are now an embarrassment.
If you want to look at history we didn't just let anyone in. People came on boats, we processed them and sometimes sent people back where they came from. It wasn't open borders.

I'm perfectly happy with what Trump is doing. Many other countries do the same thing. It is a privilege to come here, not a right

You'd think, wouldn't you?

Bunch of morons.

And the biggest liars are the ones who say they live in EU (esp. Germany) and nothing has changed.

The damn Chancellor of Germany is backtracking on her "let everyone in" policy & NOT because it's been all roses and sunshine.

Thursday 28 January 2016

Germany has agreed new laws to tighten rules for incoming refugees.

Chancellor Angela Merkel reached an agreement with her coalition partners on Thursday evening to speed up deportations.

The new measures also include a two-year ban on family reunions for asylum seekers who are granted limited refugee protection, said Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel, announcing the deal.

The coalition partners have also agreed that people from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia will not have an automatic right to asylum as these countries have [not] been deemed “safe”.

"Less safe"? Is that why we have had a record # of post 9/11 Islamic attacks under Obama?

What really is this suppose to mean? I was born here and I'm a citizen. So eventually they are going to come and deport me? To where? The moon?

The report from the BKA federal police showed that migrants from northern Africa, Georgia and Serbia were disproportionately represented among the suspects.

Absolute numbers of crimes committed by Syrians, Afghans and Iraqis - the three biggest groups of asylum seekers in Germany - were high but given the proportion of migrants that they account for, their involvement in crimes was "clearly disproportionately low", the report said.

The report stated that the vast majority of migrants did not commit any crimes.
