I would think United has made the teacher/attorney a better offer by now. I would note that upgrades by frequent flyers are often quite cheap. Under $100 on most domestic flights and sometimes free.
I would also note that much of the response to this thread has a significant touch of racism to it. The Congresswoman was wrong to raise a racial issue...but all the nonsense on here knocking her smells of dislike for the Black woman, She obviously has some strong rapport with her community. So that she is a poor boss would hardly be relevant.
So the stupid woman canceled her ticket whether on purpose or by accident. United gave her canceled seat to someone else. The stupid woman, who happens to be a Trump supporter, found out who took her seat and took a picture and started to raise a stink about it so she could get her 15 minutes of fame and some reward. And Trump supporters on here, FB, and the media latch on to it and give her the 15 minutes of fame she so desperately desires. Looks like it worked. SMH
I am sure if a white republican had taken her seat she wouldn't have said a word.
Yeah right. She took the pic of Lee because she cancelled her ticket. What a crock. Lee is a loud mouthed elite who uses the race card to get what she wants. People like her ilk makes me puke.
First defense from this nitwit is "racism" and this time I agree with her as this Congress woman is a racist as she not only took the seat of someone else but the woman she took the seat from is white so this Congress woman discriminated against a white woman!
This is nothing new. Lee is a racist of the worst kind.
Several decades worth of coverage of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee suggests she's behaved badly on planes – and on automobiles – before this week's incident.
The latest airplane drama came this week when a United Airlines passenger said she was booted from her first class seat to accommodate the Texas Democrat, who shot back by saying the only reason the woman complained was because Jackson Lee is black.
But previous reports show the House member, who was elected in 1994, has had a history of transportation drama, including berating flight attendants on first class flights and making her Congressional staff drive her one block, while waiting on her for hours and disrupting traffic.
She's been documented calling her employees 'you stupid motherf***er,' while referring to herself as Congressional royalty.
'You don't understand. I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen,' she was quoted saying in 1998, three years into her nearly 23-year tenure on Capitol Hill.
