Personally I know some Chinese illegal immigrants. Their life in China was not too bad, but it was just a "tradition" of their village to sneak in America and make some quick cash. After they came here, however, they attack China government in all ways to justify their choice and then obtain a green card as a refugee. For those who have no college degree and do not want to fake a marriage, refugee is pretty much the only way.

Capitalism has killed more people than communism.

Just look at the 19th century and the two world wars.

You have yet to offer even a parcel of evidence that Cuba doesn’t have a great grassroots democracy.

Joseph Stalin killed or let die many people under his watch.

When you have to oppress people to keep them silent and many are fleeing on make shift rafts, that is not the sign of a great grassroots democracy. And as I said before, when you have government that forces its cradle to grave system on its people to "take care of them", that is NOT democracy.

Yep. Thousands of people heading out on the high seas in rafts and inner tubes speak more loudly than left wing propaganda extolling the virtues of Castro's "socialist paradise".

Having a bankrupt economy (thanks to sanctions) causes many people to escape. Mexico, Libya, Honduras, Guatemala, Syria, Ukraine, Belarus, Greece, Zimbabwe, Kansas, etc.

All Capitalist economies.

Anyways Democracy in Cuba doesn’t revolve around the central government, but around economic institutions and local municipalities.

Tell it to the people who fled Cuba and tried to flee Cuba and those in prisons in cuba.

When people flee a system, flee their homeland and place themselves in danger doing it, that system can not be called one of the best.
