They jail opponents. There is no free press. Only one party is legal. Education is propaganda. I don't see anything great in that.

When people flee a system, flee their homeland and place themselves in danger doing it, that system can not be called one of the best.
I've already addressed this point multiple times.

People leave many poor countries, capitalist or otherwise.

That doesn't take away the interesting political structure Cuba has.

Central government problems don't equate to municipal government structures.

Political corruption that causes death also exists in Egypt, are the too socialists?

How about these socialist places: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapati...nal_Liberation

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Territory

Are they corrupt to, or does corruption exist regardless of economic model.

I'm an anarcho-syndicalist, the authoritarian corporatist model of San Francisco is the furthest thing from what I want.

Tech companies practically own the city.

Threw me off too. I had to go back and re-read the post thinking I had mis-read.

Reading up on municipal elections in Cuba, and it doesn't really seem much different to where I am.

Campaigning is banned, which seems a bit silly.
