Typically Democrats make it seem like most of the segregationist Democrats switched to Republican. You will note that they always cite Thurmond but nobody else.

Robert Byrd, one of the most liberal Democrat politicians ever, was in the KKK at one point and was highly ranked in the KKK. He never switched to GOP.

You aren't informed on history b/c you get your history from your party rather than independently research it.

Meh. Southerner whites were always dressing up in blackface. It's weird, of course, but that is what it is. Cultural. The KKK thing not so much, but it was for laughs. Virginia in 1984 was about as racially progressive as the "north" in 1954.

That was one of the meanest and weirdest things that I've seen in a political context. I think most racists would have at least shook his hand for decorum's sake.
Ruh-roh.

Northam's got some 'splaining to do.

Steve King isn't a white supremacist and NY times is a partisan liberal paper and they have no audio of him defending white supremacy.

King's point was that liberals falsely accused conservatives of racism and white supremacy and the NY Time then proceeded to do just that. I didn't make any sense for him to talk to the NY times anyway b/c you can't discuss issues with many liberals these days without them calling you a racist.

Not shaking E.W. Jackson's hand isnt the sword you want to use in this fight as a republican. you should probably google him.

racism was a democratic party thing, not a south thing. Democratic party today likes to associate racism with the south rather than their own party's history.

Its funny that you think Kings recent comments are his only one and somehow not having audio of it means it didnt happen, never mind the fact that King didnt deny saying it.
