No it wouldn't. And even if it was, so what? If the population of America (let's use it as an example) was 100 million smaller, I would argue that America would be far better off. In myriad of ways.

Economically successful societies attract immigrants, and may become "diverse". But the belief that diversity, as an initial condition, leads to economic success, is entirely unsupported.

Name a diverse country that doesn’t have major problems associated with diversity. Name a country that is not diverse that has major issues associated with diversity. How does importing millions of those from the 3rd world help U.S. economy?
As oppose to the virtues of what? What other virtues should be taught as oppose to diversity? segregation? ethnic and racial division? What? America has been diverse since day one, there is no other way and never has been.
How about both. Virtues of diversity and virtues of homogeneity. I’m white and prefer a white community. I’m a “racist” because I prefer that. That’s the difference. The insults towards those that prefer to associate with those if their own race. As if there’s something wrong with that.
So how about it. Let’s get public schools to teach the virtues of both instead of knocking one and focusing 100% on the other.

Define what constitutes a major problem? Also what constitutes "diversity" to you is it only ethnic or can it also be religious, political, economic, etc? Northern Ireland was not ethnically diverse but they were religiously diverse and they had major social problems, ditto Lebanon, Bosnia. North Korea and Saudi Arabia are two of the least diverse places on earth and arguably two of the worst places on earth.
