Not sure why my previous post on this was deleted, but from reading the meta-analysis in the original post . . .
- No, the study you posted did Not find what you wrote to be true. Read the study.
- The study looked at the relationship between diversity & social trust. That's it. Nothing more and nothing less. The article you posted slanted the study. Big time.
Down my throat? I'm part of that diversity many people don't like. I haven't been hurt from diversity. I've been hurt by individuals who would hate me because of my race. Experience has shown me that diversity never threatened me. Bigots have always been more a threat to me. I'm talking about my life, not yours.
Believe it or not, when people talk about diversity not being a good thing, it is usually ethnic diversity they are talking about, not racial diversity.
I have tons of diversity at my workplace, the blacks and whites get along great and while we get long with the foreign employees fine, there have been some cultural differences that have made it a bit difficult.
Perhaps this thread has gone down the wrong wormhole.
New York City=ethnically diverse=world's most powerful city and cultural mecca
North Platte, Nebraska=93% white=not exactly lighting the world on fire to put it mildly. Most people probably couldn't even point to it on a map, despite being the third biggest metro in Nebraska
The 93% are probably healthier overall and more satisfied with their surroundings, as well as their lifestyle, than the mess created in every big city in this country. Diversity has caused high levels of stress and that's one of the main reasons for high blood pressure along with always climbing healthcare costs. Forced diversity is eventually draining on the mind and the body.
Diversity, Multi Culturalism, and Inclusiveness, are Liberal/Progressive (Democrat) buzzwords for Affirmative Action, and special privileges and special rights.

Forced diversity lol, you know-nothing party types are hilarious. Like a throwback from a different era.
Diversity isn't forced, and it's only draining to people who are prejudiced or xenophobic, to non-racists like myself, I could care less

Yes. Affirmative Action has caused high blood pressure and other illnesses to skyrocket. But that is a small slice of what diversity is about these days.

You have to be joking, most people I know get along just fine with people of other ethnicities and races. Where do you live that you come to your erroneous conclusion?

I'm not stressed, that's a "whomever smelt it dealt it" style defense, this isn't third grade anymore. But honestly, people who are xenophobic and prejudiced make me uneasy, this isn't the 19th century anymore. We're all people
