Israel walled them off to begin with. Gaza is part of Palestine, Egypt was Egypt
Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories. If you want to call that Palestine, then fine, but it is not part of Israel. Israel has a right to defend it’s borders.

Do you realize the farce you just typed here? Unless you're saying that Israel wanted to just cede Gaza to Egypt, but that's disingenuous if that's what you're saying

I’m sure Israel would LOVE to cede Gaza to Egypt, but Egypt would never take it.
They gave Egypt back the Sinai Peninsula, a piece of land larger than Israel itself, with oil, in exchange for peace. You dont think they would give them Gaza? A tiny piece of land that causes them nothing but trouble???
Because Israel is the one that walled them in in the first place
Israel has the right to build walls on its' territory and to close its' borders. I did not close the border of Gaza with Egypt, and it's Gaza problems to have good relationship with Egypt.
I know right from wrong, and terrorism is wrong, AND the occupation of Golan Heights and expanding settlements in the West Bank are wrong. It's both, not either or
The Golan Heights were taken in the June, 1967 war because Syria was bombarding Israel from there, as Israel was in a war with Egypt. Without that occupation, it is possible that Israel would have been destroyed as Syria attacked again from the North and Egypt from the South.

"The armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon are poised on the borders of Israel ... to face the challenge, while standing behind us are the armies of Iraq, Algeria, Kuwait, Sudan and the whole Arab nation. This act will astound the world. Today they will know that the Arabs are arranged for battle, the critical hour has arrived. We have reached the stage of serious action and not of more declarations." - Gamal Abdel Nasser speech (May 30, 1967).
Guess what, don't want to lose the Golan Heights, don't attack Israel from there.
What a concept!
The Israelis had agreed to a partition that left them with only about 50% of territory they have today. The partition was drawn up by the UN in 1948. The Arabs rejected that partition. Every expansion of Israeli territory has come through attacks from surrounding Arab countries.
After the Six-Day War began, the Syrian air force attempted to bomb oil refineries in Haifa. While Israel was fighting in the Sinai and West Bank, Syrian artillery bombarded Israeli forces in the eastern Galilee, and armored units fired on villages in the Huleh Valley below the Golan Heights.
On June 9, 1967, Israel moved against Syrian forces on the Golan. By late afternoon, June 10, Israel was in complete control of the plateau. Israel’s seizure of the strategic heights occurred only after 19 years of provocation from Syria, and after unsuccessful efforts to get the international community to act against the aggressors.
I wonder what firebird camaro's opinion on those 19 years of attacks by Syria? Apologist still for Syria?
I don't have any problems applying sanctions to both Turkey and Israel.
Surprise the world hasn't done the same for the Burmese government for the genocide that they are committing as well...
That should have been your original response. It makes a lot more sense than your first one, which seemed like a knee jerk, programmed, response to all things “Israel”.
The United States doesn't officially recognize the current government of Burma (presently called Myanmar by the military dictatorship), so it's not like you describe it
Yes, we do. And we have since 2012, when we started sending ambassadors to Yangon after 20+ years of absence.
Even Bernie Sanders, who is Jewish, has gone on record defending her. Now why would he do that? Hmmm?
You know why he would do that. Because it was politically expedient for him. When he "defended" her, he acknowledged he'd only ever spoken to her twice in his life. Now she and her gang endorse him for the candidacy......
Bernie doesn't speak for many Jews as far as I can tell. Once called the most popular Jew in Palestine since Moses, he has also compared Israel to the Nazis. So one extremist supporting another extremist doesn't really add much to the discussion.
