So your next door neighbor, who has vowed to run you out of the neighborhood and even to kill you, comes over and sticks a loaded shotgun in your face. You snatch it out of his hand and knock him upside the head, sending him running off, whimpering.
He comes back the next day and demands his "property" back--his loaded shotgun. Do you hand it back to him???
Beautiful analogy, Travis.
And did I read correctly that you consider yourself a liberal? How do you reconcile the antisemitism driving double standards re Israel with your party affiliation when you so obviously recognize and object to the bigotry behind it?
The issue (personally) is with continued Jewish settlement of the West Bank: the neighbor had children who due to the unpleasantness moved to another neighborhood. Now the descendants of the one neighbor want the children of the other to move even further away - losing property other than that loaded shotgun. Maybe - they say - there are bad genes.
The post was about the Golan Heights, not the West Bank. Do you have a comment on that?

I have abandoned the Democratic party, in large part due to the anti-Semitism, along with other factors, such as the rise of socialism. I can't quite stomach Trump and the Republicans, so for now I'm without a party.
I have asked Firebird to respond to my analogy and wait for his/her reply with bated breath. We'll see if he/she has a reply.

Why did the neighbor bring the gun? Is it because you claimed your great great grandfather lived there 200 years ago and moved them out with the help of the court and police?

How do you reconcile that most Jews vote Democrat? All of my Jewish friends vote Democrat (or for other left wing parties) and support the existence of Israel. Maybe you're just a partisan hack?
Because she is interested in weaponizing antisemitism! She even reached out in regard to a conference named just that: how to weaponize antisemitism! You think I have no worries about a Congresswoman who is trying to advance Jew-hate? She has successfully pulled all the Dem candidates to her side. Now they're even threatening to cut off aid if the Jews don't give in to the enemies seeking to destroy them.
And again, what in the WORLD does bank interest have to do with your hatred for the Jewish country? Oh, right....those Jews and their usury. That's one of the oldest antisemtitc tropes around.
And you still can't bring yourself to criticize any of Israel's enemies, can you? You keep proving the point of this thread.
(And stop with the dual loyalty snark. I am a proud citizen of the U.S., and Gentiles who bring up dual citizenship reveal more anti-Jew attitudes.)
I will keep it simple and call it quits. Jews who made it to the top are entreprenuail, brainy and smart. They have good business sense and know to work with money and debt. Most common people cannot. Many people borrow today to even meet living needs and get stuck forever.
I want that to change . Such a noble thought on behalf of everyone. America used to be like that even till 70s.

Prelude is also essential.
So if you are getting evicted from a shared house that you declined to divide like a grown up, tried to make only your own by force, are you taking a shotgun and try to shoot the co-owner?

Good bye.
So, get in your last licks and then depart the scene, announcing that the fight is over.

The post you were responding to included the Jewish settlements (Gaza etc.), with you then narrowing your response.
Would you extend that analogy to the West Bank settlements? I already made a separate comment on the Golan Heights, saying I had no problem with the Israelis maintaining a defensive position there.
