The Republicans' defense strategy boils down to, "Nobody can provide a certified, authentic video of Trump himself extorting the president of Ukraine while simultaneously shouting 'I DO HEREBY EXTORT THIS MAN OF MY OWN FREE WILL FOR PERSONAL ENRICHMENT,' therefore it's not crime and nothing else matters."

Joe Biden gave the Ukraine $1 billion in taxpayer money to fire its prosecutor, so they did. THAT'S bribery.

I will again give you the example of the corrupt police officer: If you are pulled over by a police officer who demands a cash bribe before you can leave, the fact that you are released without paying the bribe after the surreptitious arrival of a non-corrupt police officer does not absolve the first officer of his/her wrongdoing.

Schiff won't let the person in charge of dispersing the aid testify.

It is clear Trump is nervous -- he chose to read from 'notes' on the White House lawn about the events of today. That is uncharacteristic.....and suggests there are key statements they have identified to say...stick on those. Don't wander off the notes on the page.

Again:

Q: Did President Trump ever tell you personally about any pre-conditions for anything?

Sondland: No.

Q: Any pre-conditions for the aid to be released?

Sondland: No.

Q: Any pre-conditions for a White House meeting?

Sondland: Personally, No.

There you go.
