Never said they were "tougher", I said they were better shots and more likely to be armed. That means that they are more likely to kill a would be mass shooter before they do much damage and it also means that they are more likely to be more effective mass shooters.
Most of the situations you list happened in "gun free zones", which are soft targets no matter where they happen. In fact, handguns were potentially illegal to carry in churches until earlier this year when the law was changed....a move that current Democrat front runner Joe Biden called "irrational"
Fortunately, no one cares what Biden thinks and there were multiple people carrying in that church so that the gunman only had 2 seconds to live once he opened fire. Had Biden had his way, the gunman would have easily killed many more while everyone waited on the cops to arrive.
Every inch of Texas is a soft target. A shooter would be more likely to find resistance in Maine.
Maybe you should read my comments on the last few pages of this thread to get a clearer picture of what I believe. You will see that I have no need to repeat anything after you.
Because it just kills you to see with your own eyes that what Wayne LaPiere said, and was widely ridiculed for it, was right.
I have already posted the sources so I won't repost them because that means I will have to look them up again. But Texas ranks #18 out of 50 states for gun ownership per capita, and yet #27 out of 50 for gun violence per capita.
So contrary to stereotypes, it's not the ol' shootout at the OK Corral down here in Texas. And people are better than average when it comes to responsible gun ownership.

You’re talking to the wrong poster. I never said that.
I said that a mass shooter would find Texas just as soft a target as any other state. This Bobby poster was trying to make Texas sound tough, but I know better.
And that includes Texas’ justice system, which isn’t nearly as tough as its reputation suggests. Texas’ justice system reserves tough justice only for the poor. If you have money, you can walk easily from just about any crime in Texas.
