Meh. It's just a distraction. It's not going anywhere, other than to just whip up Trumpers into a lather. That's the main benefit to Donald. The more rabid and agitated they are, the better for him.
This is the focus for Trump and Rubio, shouldn't they be more concerned with how they will find and distribute solutions to COVID-19. Honest to god we are in a middle of a pandemic and he's worried about his Twitter account.
Not only that but his sycophants don't care. If he went back to saying "it's a hoax" again, they'd believe him, no questions asked.
Actually, it's yet another flash bomb. And people *always* take the bait. Ohhhh look over there...no wayyyyyy over there... that shiny object, that's where Donny wants your attention.
He most definitely doesn't want your attention on the other thing, the thing he's trying to hide. Twitter isn't that thing. When Donny tantrums, depending on what it is, there's often something else going on that should be getting people's focus (or maybe was but then they got distracted by the shiny flash bomb he threw...way over there).
I don't disagree with this. Trump is selling more weapons to the Saudis and to Duterte. As the news comes out, he goes after Twitter.
I'm watching RedPill78 live right now and he brought up an interesting point -- Trump goaded Twitter into censoring him so he could take action against them.
Except Tweety has done nothing but rant and posture. They can ignore him and there is nothing Tweety can do about it. He doesn't have the authority. Over three years in, and he still doesn't know what a president does for a living.
Again? When did Trump say it the first time? Let me guess.. you are super informed because you saw that ignorant idiot Kimmell..
Hmm, the first time was when he called the Russian interference in the 2016 election a hoax. That was 2017. It's his favorite response to getting caught with his hand in the till.
We are super informed because we remember what Trump did. His supporters seem to have a weird selective amnesia.
"The executive order targets companies granted liability protections through Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. Without congressional action, however, there are limits to what Trump can do with the executive order."
I have a couple of suggestions as to exactly what he can do with his executive order.
This is a true statement which is why Twitter should have just given Trump the Alex Jones treatment and removed him for his consistent lies and conspiracies. But they've given him presidential privilege so he's getting special treatment. I somewhat understand their stance in letting him just be out there. Banning him just makes him pop up somewhere else. I think Twitter is correct in that we should all be able to see the emperor without his clothes. It's really just a shame that some people aren't smart enough to figure out his lies.
Twitter doesn't have the bandwidth to police everyone with the fact check warning, but they can do it when their attention is called to the the tweets by others and then decide if it needs a fact check.
