The claim is that the virus was manufactured, not that it was leaked from a lab.
Why would these be mutually exclusive ?
It was engineered in the lab, then it accidentally escaped. I don't believe it was intentional, and I don't believe it was made to be a weapon. Plenty of older posts on here discuss these aspects.

No such thing has been established. Everything is a theory at this point, as the CCP has long since destroyed any evidence.
I haven't seen you post anywhere on C-D about this topic, which I have been following closely, and reporting on since March.

And yet we have no evidence for any of these claims and number one has already been debunked.
We have no evidence for the other claims either like, it came from bat soup, the wet market , or just Wuhan bats.
And how has GOF versions escaping the lab been debunked? I could see claims of proof being debunked, but that is not the same thing.
Most of what has been asserted as true is unlikely, and with no evidence.
Anyway , no point with the claim of evidence. The claim is entirely dependent on the evidence. If it is not timely or flimsy then it will speak for itself. its just that its more plausible than say, "anonymous sources. "

Diesel is more concerned with braggadocio than with fact checking.
It's an article about one of her theories being panned. Like other scientists, she has several theories, including that it evolved from several bat coronaviruses over the last 60 years. That was consistent with the finding that the 2005 SARS virus would take 20 to 80 years to mutate into the COVID-19. She's agreeing witht the researchers that there are other undiscovered coronaviruses in the wild that will eventually cause another pandemic.
