I would be fine with a Black man as Bond. Idris Elba would be perfect

A woman, not so much. No hate, just a preference. I like my men manly, not womanly

Idris Elba would have been good 15-20 years ago...now at 48, he is too old

Certainly I don't have issues with female or black actresses, but why do they have to keep doing these annoying things where they mess around with the original source material? I have zero desire to see a female actress as James Bond 007.

And 'revolutionary?' Right.

Women of the Year: Lashana Lynch on making history as the first Black female 007
Just like the outstanding "success" of the all female "Ghostbusters" remake.

It is simply hilarious that people in the movie industry will lose a ton of money just to be "woke". That BS does not sell to the majority of the population and is a certainty to lose money.

I guess they just forget who actually watches their films and what they like. It is, after all, just entertainment.

Yeah, at least get someone like Lucy Lawless or Gina Carano who have the build to make it look more believable.

I predict a flop at the box office.

True, but they could stand on their own and become a 002 or 003.

3. she is NOT the future James Bond...they will make a selection sometime AFTER the movie has done its theater release...but they have already stated that "James" Bond is and will always be a Male
Regardless, to most everyone "James Bond" is inseparable from "007".

That said, it's true that it doesn't really matter what we think, as James Bond 007 is a private commercial property that doesn't belong to any of us.

Though some British people might have a different view of that and feel he kinda belongs to them too, as one of the major icons of their country.
