"This child wanted to be an officer. And he was shot by the hands of another officer," Weiss-Ortiz said. "The mother wants to know the truth of all facts surrounding the death of her son."
I’m so sick of people saying the police shouldn’t try to arrest these dangerous people. People are complaining that they cannot commit crimes without suffering the consequences. I’m actively starting to hate these activists now. As far as I’m concerned they can have Oregon and Washington State and leave the rest of us alone. All insane people go there and the sane people who don’t want violent criminals to roam free can go to the rest of the states.
From what I can see, the cop did nothing wrong. The kid had a gun. When you bring a gun to a fight, there is a good chance that you will be shot. That he dropped the gun and turned before being shot in not even a split second later doesn't change this or the appropriateness of the shooting. The very fact that we are even having this conversation where anything other than praise is being heaped on the officer is mindboggling. The boy's parents failed him. Not the police officer.
What the hell is a 13 year old kid doing out at 2"30 am with a gun?
That is the question that needs to be asked, and answered.
EXACTLY.
One more case of the family blaming everyone but where the blame probably belongs -- on themselves and the kid. And, yes, the police officer was ALSO to blame if the kid was unarmed-- but no responsible parent will allow their 13-year-old to be somewhere he shouldn't in the middle of the night. So in my view, at this point, either the kid was a "bad kid" or the parents were bad parents, or both.
And, yes, I know it is terribly not correct, in the view of many liberals, to EVER label a kid as a "bad kid", but I disagree as I have read plenty of reports where a kid IS bad, even though, granted, it is not always the kid's fault. Abuse and neglect can do terrible things to a child.

To my brothers in blue it’s time to retire or move on and let the fine outstanding citizens that want to take your rights, defund and whine to protect themselves. You all don’t need to work in these conditions.
