Israel? Mild weather all year and their cases began dropping in mid January when the vaccine was in roll out. The UK which has similar weather to the countries surrounding it is doing much better than the countries surrounding it just like Israel. The only difference is both countries have vaccinated a much higher percentage of their citizens than the countries surrounding them.
No, the major difference is both Israel and Britain had the strictest lockdowns in the world for almost 6 months or more. Israel actually had 3 separate lockdowns, the third almost locking people inside their homes and has blocked almost all international travel for months. Britain has also been much stricter than almost any other country about foreign travel. Even with those strict restrictions now the UK and Israel are seeing spikes from some of the COVID mutants from South Africa and India, infecting even vaccinated people.
An Arizona legislator, Rep. Alma Hernandez, who was inoculated two months ago and who also routinely wears a mask, practices social distancing and practices good hygiene, has contracted the coronavirus.
So all of that did not protect her. At the end of the day, it is up to her God given immunity system to protect her from this virus, come what may.
So the honest question is, how sick is she? Is she going to be seriously ill, hospitalized, and die? (I honestly don't know, didn't read the article). Because THAT is what the vaccine was supposed to do, not only fight the virus, but also lead to much, much better results for those that DO get sick. Because very few, if any, viruses work at 100%. But I am sure you already knew that.
Exactly. Just like the flu. If you get the shot, you can still get the flu....just not as bad.

No. You are explaining why their case counts were not higher before the vaccine. The drop in cases from mid January is attributed to the vaccination rollout which started in December. Perfect time line. At look at the up to day case counts. Neither having spikes.
On the other hand look at Canada. Very strict lock downs. And a poor vaccine roll out. There daily case counts are near all time highs. And its very difficult to get in and out of Canada. Everything that you claim helps case counts in the other two counties also applies to Canada. Only difference is the vaccination rates.
In countries and areas with a lack of vaccines, deferring vaccination of those proven previously infected makes a whole lot of sense right now.
It makes sense in any context since prior infection confers as much as immunity as the vaccine. Not to mention, people with prior infection have more side effects to the vaccines.
Everyone at my job that got the vaccine, has had to be hospitalized for complications. One woman has been in a coma now for over two weeks.
You must work with a very elderly/sickly crew! Can you point to a news article about this? Certainly it would be covered.
Meanwhile, most of the 40+ people in my office have been vaccinated. It's now available to get at work for all. No one has had any problems, except for a handful of people who took a sick day the day after their first and/or second shot.
Of the 100+ people I know who are fully vaccinated, only one had a serious enough reaction to be hospitalized. She was given benedryl and sent home a few hours later - but she also has an anaphylactic response to seafood so it was not too unexpected.
I think that remains to be seen and will be tested in courts. On it's face, it would seem to be a HIPPA violation as it forces you to reveal at least one medical record.
You don't seem to know what HIPAA is (and not just because you got the acronym wrong).
