The anti-vaxxers choose to die so let them die. Once they're all dead and gone the nation of vaccinated people will have achieved herd immunity. It won't take forever so you don't need to worry about staying locked down forever. Like Banjo Mike said above, maybe another 2 or 3 years before all those who are susceptible have expired. It isn't half the country that won't accept vaccines, it's 33% of the population (98 million) who are refusing the vaccines. The country is over populated enough that it could do with a third of the nation being culled out anyway.

You are too funny. Do you even realize he number of people who were infected and recovered? Or realize the percentage of people who die after being infected? Sorry to ruin your fantasies, but the “anti-vaxxers” (ridiculous use of that term in this case) aren’t all going to die, lol.
The problem with that is Covid unchecked will continue to strain all our health services to the breaking point.
People will still fall ill to other diseases and afflictions, be injured, suffer bad health after natural disasters, and all those folks will need medical care, equipment, and staff that Covid is now hogging.
We all watched what happened in New York last year when Covid struck with nothing to slow it down and nothing at all would stop it.
Thousands died from Covid, but many more died from other maladies left untreated once the hospitals were full.
How many? No one will ever know for sure. They died at home or on the job or in transit. Many had chronic conditions like diabetes that cause them a sudden crash, and no one could help them.
That's what the rest of the nation would have faced without a vaccine. Our entire medical system would have been forced into triage, deciding case by case who was to live and who would be left to die.
Best guess is that of the roughly 20% excess US deaths in 2020, 1/3 were non-Covid related.
Even if severe cases really are entirely among people with pre-existing conditions and the elderly, the virus still places too much of a strain on our healthcare system to simply let it go endemic. Since half the country won't accept a vaccine, what else do we do? Do we just stay locked down forever, as long as certain types of gatherings like churches aren't affected?
Freedom.
Let people decide how to handle it. If you want to lock yourself down - go ahead. If you don't - then get out there and live your life.

Most Americans don't think beyond the next day and their immediate family.
They don't care about their neighbor who just died because their Uncle clogged up ER resources because he didn't want to get vaccinated and wear a mask.
This classic American braggadocious egotistical "tough guy" attitude is why thousands more will continue to die of this virus and as a side effect.
You might want to also consider the role of ego (and profit) when considering the origins of this virus - it might have been a matter of fixing the unbroken..... white coated heroes etc.
No need to discuss the "side effect" implication of this.
I am generally of that view, but I want all but the most incorrigibly stupid to get vaccinated. This is to protect those that medically cannot.
It’s looking more and more that the vaccine protects no one beyond the person who gets it. Vaccinated people can still catch and spread covid. Your case though as a vaccinated person just might be milder.
