Why should they when their residents have to pay federal taxes for them? A better suggestion would be to have their residents opt out of paying their share of the $1+ trillion per year spent on federal public assistance programs. Give them all a HUGE tax cut.
Because that would be consistent with the principle of your post (your post that Goodnight was replying to).
Why should the taxpayer have to take care of these kids? It's their parent's responsibility. Being opposed to abortion has nothing to do with it either. Why should we pay for their carelessness by them having unprotected sex? There is plenty of birth control out there and abortion is not birth control.
You don't like your pocketbook being tugged at by needy kids. That effects you personally.
Abortion = fewer needy kids tugging at your money.
Outlawing abortion = more needy kids tugging at your money.
Being someone who seems to care about the demands on his money, why are you against something that results in less tugging at your money?
Someone tugging at your money has a personal effect upon you. The only personal effect someone else getting an abortion has upon you is requiring less of your money over time.
You’ve never bothered to answer the two times I’ve asked if you were diligent using birth control every time you had sex? Or are you a man who let the woman take on the responsibility instead thus relinquishing your responsibility to others? My guess is your a man and never bothered with birth control as you can’t get pregnant. I’m also guessing you are ok with drug addicts, prostitutes, and young teens who have no income becoming parents since it’s another question you avoid. One shouldn’t tell others what to do if you don’t follow your own advice
No, as head scratching as it is, that poster is a woman.
Asking same question I asked IC. Have you used birth control every single time you had sex all your life. Or are you a man and did you relinquish your responsibility with the woman instead?
Now, that being said, I have faith our wonderful SCOTUS will decide simply by analyzing the merits of the case against the Constitution as originally written, w/o adding their interpretation into the equation. Polls will not matter, nor should they. It is a legal issue-federal jurisdiction vs state's rights.
It will be interesting to see how many opinions are written on the decision, and whether the original Roe v Wade decision is actually addressed in the Jones decision to come.
