Except that's not what Grumpy was talking about: "They were rioters and looters, lawbreakers, scum and a blight on society."
So I guess anyone who riots should be executed. But then, Grumpy may be guilty of something...I don't know, maybe he was double-parked. Who's to say we don't execute people for parking violations?
There is no way possible stretch that any farther to make a point, and you failed miserably, not that we wouldn't expect anything different. There is a slight difference between a parking ticket and a rioter/looter. Do you suppose those criminals just return home and suddenly become model, contributing citizens after they conclude their shopping trip? No, they are planning their next crime while collecting your tax dollars to sit on their lazy a$$es.. America would be far ahead if they no longer existed. Unfortunately they will be coddled to and told not to do it again. Authorities are to soft with criminals, that is exactly why criminals exist. I understand there are laws against such actions, but it sure would solve an unsolvable problem.
Fine, but my exchange with Grump Old Man was not about Rosenbaum:
"GREAT NEWS, should have been many more, they were rioters and looters, lawbreakers, scum and a blight on society. The world is far better off without them."
So your fault with me is because I stated a true fact? How can you argue that the world would be better off WITH them? You can't!! It will never happen but I wouldn't be sorry if it did and your life would also be better.
I don’t know, I guess my Christian upbringing taught me that I should love my neighbor, that we are all God’s children and that human life is precious. I’ve moved away from organized religion, but I still can’t shake those beliefs.
If you could kill a person, even in self defense, and not feel anything more than swatting a pesky mosquito, what does that say about you? What else could you do and not feel any remorse?
So if some crazed maniac broke into your home and attempted to kill you with a gun, you wouldn't shoot that person? Why would you feel remorse for killing a horrible and evil person? That person would just continue to hurt more people...

True, that person would probably continue to hurt more people, but I 100% agree with what LEO58 is saying about remorse. Even if you hate the person to the core, that would be tough to brush off taking a life as if it were nothing.

I’d shoot them, but I would feel bad about it. I’d regret that I was forced to take a life. That’s all I’m saying.
