Good luck with that since the Leopard 2 and M1A2 Abrams are way more advanced and I would guess the tank crews in the event the tank becomes disabled will be instructed to destruct said tank.

The huge numbers of destroyed Russian tanks suggest that tanks are at risk on the modern battlefield. Drones, mines, artillery, and missiles all pose significant dangers to tanks. Even grenades dropped from quad-copters can damage sensors and render tanks ineffective.

I hope Ukraine has enough air and ground support to protect their new tanks.

Censorship is common when lives are at stake during time of war.

The censorship referred to is the reporting by 9 American TV channels, newspapers (journalists) etc.

From the background of the Ukraine conflict in 2014, to the 2000s and today, Most Americans not even knowing who Victoria Nuland or Kolomoiski are, for starters.

Georgian President Zurabishvili wants Russia to withdraw from Abkhazia and South Ossetia as part of the upcoming peace agreement with Ukraine, reports Bloomberg.
It's another small step. Everyone is starting to capitalize on Russia's newly revealed weakness. The Georgians for years believed they were powerless against the monstrously powerful Russia. The curtain has been pulled. It was a clown show all along.
Georgia is now home to hundreds of thousands of Russians who do not want to go back to Russia. Georgia's neighbor, Azerbaijan, is in a battle with Russian ally Armenia. But Azerbaijan has oil - lots of it. And that means money to fund a war, as its customers are Italy, Israel, Croatia, Germany, and Portugal.

There is a lot more to this war than Ukraine. Georgia helps Ukraine when it puts demands on Russia.

Having that many Russians in their country is bad news for them. How many of those men are Russian spies? Russia can always invade to protect "oppressed" ethnic Russians there. Unless Georgia is upgrading their military like Poland is doing, talk is cheap. Russia only respects power.

There are tons of battle clips out there of what is going on. That is as close as you are going to get to having an idea how this war is going. Not well for Russia. They have paid a steep price in terms of man and equipment losses for the victories they have achieved.

I imagine they were this incompetent during the Winter War against Finland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_War

During that war, they were only able to take 10% of Finland. The Finns suffered 70,000 total casualties while the USSR suffered 300,000 - 340,000... Or 5 times more casualties than their opponent. But the USSR still claimed victory, even though they had to stop because the red army was getting beat so bad.

Today, they aren't doing much better, and there are a ton of clips highlighting Russian's world renowned incompetency in battle. I just watched one where a tanker ran his tank barrel into the back of another tank, injuring 3 soldiers who were sitting on the back of the tank. He was probably drunk. And yes, drunkedness is a BIG problem in the Russian army today.

It will be very difficult for Putin to ever take Ukraine without his "friends" lending direct assistance in the form of boots on the ground. And so far, they are only interested in selling what Russia needs in exchange for cheap Russian oil.

Winter War was very useful for Red Army it helped them to realise that they were totally unprepared and uncoordinated . Partially they fixed some problems. Basically Stalin was royally pissed since 1920 for his bad handling of war command for what Lenin chewed him up.
Stalin had to accept surrender of Finns because bad image of the USSR the war created in the world. It was pure agression. Red Army had a bad image...

Drones are truly the future of warfare. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan saw the use of very expensive American drones that could be operated half-way around the world in Arizona. In the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, one side used cheap Turkish drones to destroy the enemy. In the Ukraine war, The Turkish Bayraktar drone made headlines with many tank kills. Cheap American drones like the Switchblade300, Switchblade600, and Ghost Phoenix drones were provided to Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders have also made the most out of the cheapest drones available: quad-copters that are sold on Amazon, Walmart, and ebay. They strap grenades to these drones, fly them directly over the targets, and drop them, many times with astounding accuracy, as seen in the video below.

Some talk of Feb 24 as the date for the Russian offensive to take Kiev. More rumors or made up stuff since it’s the 1 year anniversary of the invasion?
