Nope. Lots of Republican States are considering banning some forms of contraception. Just another step in their quest to control women’s bodies. You don’t care. I get that. Lots of women and men actually do.

When states start outlawing contraception, what will you say then?
They’ll say the same thing they said about Roe. Abortion isn’t banned since it’s legal in some States. Why would they care if the most effective forms of BC are banned if condoms are still available.

the real intent is to take attention away from Biden's Presidency. He'll get his report card in November. I wonder when the voting curtain closes if contraception will come to mind as a rationale to vote.

Look for many in the GOP to advocate a ban on all forms of contraception in the near future.

It is what it is. Most of you conservatives here don't object to contraception but there are lots of conservatives who do.......

And if state's won't make it a right -- should feds make it a right.

I don't know a single conservative that objects to contraception.

Nonsense.

They are FAR too many repug types that want access to BC.

The religous right is a waning portion of the party.

This is, of course, what the Libs are intentionally pretending to miss. It’s housekeeping, people!

It's scary how many people are willing to vote for Republicans who want all forms of contraception banned and abortion, too. Try finding a Republican running for office willing to just say NO! to the question, "Do you support banning contraception or birth control?" They are too afraid of losing votes and campaign money to just say NO!

Leader Rodgers Floor Remarks on Women’s Access to Contraception

"Washington, D.C. — Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) delivered the following remarks about H.R. 8373 ...

“It should be called the ‘Payouts for Planned Parenthood Act.’"

I think I know what one has to do with the other --- funding.

No State has or would ban women's contraception. A law preventing States to do something they have never done, nor would the ever do at the Federal level is an erroneous waste of their time and our dollars. Keep putting all your eggs in at the Federal level, there will be a Handmaiden's Tale and if the money is good the Democrats will be all for it.

Since the ACA though, they can and will go down this commerce path and you'll be ill pressed to do a darn thing about it. If the FDA doesn't approve it, you can't have it. Government running our healthcare and our insurance plans --- what could go wrong?

Even with insurance, women tend to spend $5000-6000 out of pocket. The actual hospital bill is likely at least twice or even three times that, especially since there are states that now provide care to new moms for up to a year after delivery now. You can easily provide a woman with contraceptives for all her reproductive life for the cost of delivering one baby.
After all, no one should ever be responsible for one's own self.
