Are most posters in this thread so stupid they cannot realize Democrats are just as pathetic as Republicans? The only difference is that Republicans have had the ability to F*ck this country up the last 8 years much more easily.
All the bi-partisan, scandalous, and **** poor performance from both sides recently should be a wake up call for everyone not to follow in the footsteps of our political leaders.
That is EXACTLY what you guys are doing, you're acting just like them.
^ it doesn't take Einstein to know that! in this case, it takes joe the plumber, or actually, a burger flipper from Omaha to figure this simple thing out
if one is utterly unrepentance, never admits to a mistake, then there is no loss of face?
real manhood ---- admitting one has made a mistake and changing direction.

Ouch...was that a compliment?
Lol, I'm not really a "burger flipper".
But yes, it is very sad how many people are so blind to the obvious but are absolutely certain they know everything.
You really should not be so convinced that party is that all powerful. Massachusetts voted for Reagan...TWICE!
We also have had 3 republican governors in a row.
Massachusetts is considered one of the most democrat states in the union.
It's also the only state to not vote for Nixon which is why it rules so hard.
Also only one of those Republican Governors was worth anything (Weld).
I live in a blue state but in a very red county. Not surprisingly, it's full of racists and general all around ignoramuses..you know the type, they're also known as Republicans.
Anyway my county, run by Republicans, currently has the highest unemployment rate of all of Washington's 39 counties.

Someone's got to, why not your county? Maybe you should put down your bag of cheetos and find a job?
I live in a red county in West Texas. I don't expect West Texas to ever become a stronghold of Democrats. However, I was surprised at how many votes Obama got in the last election. If the large cities continue to grow, the Rio Grande Valley continues to grow, and West Texas continues to lose population, Texas could become a blue state, but the western half will always be red.
TX can become a Blue State, but it will be a while before it happens (if it ever does). I wouldn't take the results of the last 3 Presidential elections as good guides. W did extremely well ('00 and '04) since he was the present or ex-Governor when he ran. This year, McCain had the cards stacked against him. Because of the historic nature of the election, African American turnout was higher than usual and they voted about 5-7% more in favor of Democrats than the GOP (vs 2004).
If NC and IN could flip from GOP to Dem so quickly, it shows that things can change. That said, they can change in BOTH directions so the GOP can make up ground in states as well. For the GOP, the best places to look are the Southwest (CO, NM, NV) and Upper MidWest (IN, WI, MI, OH, IA).
The past election had 3 ties, with Obama winning two of them (IN, NC) and McCain one (MO).
