On a hilarious note, if it turns out Palin is fleeing office in the face of something more egregious or scandalous, we would be averaging the loss of one GOP Presidential hopeful per week

::grins:: just thought ya should know ...
yup tickled pink to see her go shows folks she isnt cut out to lead anything .. think about it she quits as gov ( cut and runs ) what might she do as a VIP???

My gosh so many viscious and stupid statements. You can always measure a person's effectiveness by the visciousness of his oponents!

Yup.
There is NO WAY she will ever be President now (not that she had much of a shot to begin with). The fact is, by quitting her job as Governor she's left herself wide open to charges that she quits when the going gets tough (and NO ONE wants a President that does that). If she runs for President (or ANY office actually) she's bound to be attacked (not just by Democratic rivals, but by GOP ones as well) with the statement: "If she couldn't stand the heat once - what makes you think she'll be able to handle it now?"

Her political career is probably pretty much over.

One by one the GOP "star" hopefuls for a Presidential run are biting the dust.
My guess for 2012 run - Mitt Romney (actually a pretty good choice - if folks can get over the fact that he's a Mormon).

Maybe she had a moose in her pocket...

Sounds like a potential republican presidential candidate to me!
My first thought when I heard she resigned, "she got caught, and this is how she is avoiding criminal charges."

Sorta like the judge saying, 'join the military, or go to jail' to a teenager in trouble.

I agree about Romney as the choice so far. I think the RNC is cutting the Base loose....not needed anymore.

Farewell Sarah!
you never had a chance anyway!
Go study the location of Russia!
Yeah, her speech was an incoherent mess - near as bad as Sanfords' speech about his affair.

Both those GOP "Rising Stars" are now toast.
