What if America was split into two countries: One is run by Democrats. The other is run by Republicans. Neither are allowed immigration from either side, just tourist visas.
Which one would you live in?
(BTW, the Republican nation would be a pure Republic, without Medicare/Medicaid and any other Democratically-driven social programs.)
an actual Republican country? then i would live in the country that gave me freedom to do as I wish.
If you lived on the Democratic Party side, they'd probably restrict what type of vehicle you can drive, how much electricity and water you can use, and require composting for all homes (except party leaders and their celebrity friends). They'd probably also outlaw the eating of meat and make everyone go vegan. They'd let you use all the drugs you want to make it easier to control you. They'd probably take a page or two from communist countries and go on and on about how good things are on the news even if there's famine and people dying of starvation cause none of the fields are worked by machines since they pollute. All work being done by hand. No beast of burden since that is cruel to the animals. Might even outlaw gas or diesel powered vehicles. Just bicycle power.
And the republicans would say #### it this is our world to destroy. Lets all drive hummers, use gas powered vehicles for recreation, factory farm, waste all our resources for the hell of it. Global warming is a hoax, what does science know. Our children and grandchildren don't need clean water or forests. Planet earth was put here for our neglectful fun, screw the planet we can buy another one........oh wait no we can't but then it would be to late because eveyone would be dead.
Also I am not advocating drugs but its funny how the govt get out of my business republicans approve of the control of certain things while alcohol and Tobacco are still legal. Which is it guys do you want freedom or control? Can't have both.
I agree the liberal socialist would destroy their half of the country, I would support the {R} side only if they built walls to keep them out.Each {R} state would have to have tough illegal immigration laws on liberals,trying to cross onto our side could be mean death.Our military and civilians would have orders to shoot to kill.

Anyhow, I do think that the Republicans couldn't live that way and they would cause a war and bully the Democrats and eventually take over their country.
Wow, I have been in all of those dirtbag cities and wondered if I would come out alive.
The towns are dangerous, dirty and part of why America is falling apart.
Far to many losers, criminals and killers in those towns to live in them.
Crime, look these cities up and you will see the crime rate and a lot more then you pretend NOT to see.
The blue states on average have better incomes. But the Red states are far from third world. In terms of purchasing power, the Red states are probably better off than the Blue states. The Red states would definitely be first-world, but their per-capita gdp would look more like Eastern Europe than Western Europe.
The truth is, the red states would end up a manufacturing and agricultural country with relatively low wages and social benefits, but also with low unemployment and long work hours. While the blue states would up being the technology exports with with a huge government sector, with mildly high unemployment but shorter work hours.
The Blue states would have a better education system, but the Red states
would be much more stable.

Ps all your manufacturing jobs just got sent to china for 6 year olds to have them.
We would have lots of jobs related to drilling for oil, building nuclear power plants, SUV's and military weapons and planes.
and all die due to increased poisoning of the planet. Why you think we need more weapons when we already have enough to blow up the entire planet 7 times I have no idea. Perhaps republicans all have small ******* and thats why they like big cars and guns so much. False sense of manhood
