Well the kids left, dinner was good, the mess was bad but I got it all cleaned up and put away now. Back to a quiet house-me and the boys. The boys got ham and brocolli too! Okay on the subject of my rice eggs, aka balls with bonnetts. My son walked into the mud room and looked into the kitchen and even before saying HI Mom, he looked at the plate and said what in the world have you made now? Then he laughed and said they looked like some kind of weird eggs and went for a closer look, yes he busted out laughing all over again. Some thanks, huh? Both the kids ate and ran, they have to work tonite. If I didnt know better I would say it was a good excuse for not helping in cleaning up the kitchen. I am actually pretty good in the kitchen but today was just not right. Dinner was even late because had to make a last minute dash to the grocers, making broc/rice casserole and didn't know the broc. bag was already opened. I grabbed the bag to give it a hank and it all flew out everywhere except where it was suppose to. Now I am back into the sweats and heading to the couch. hOPE you all are having a great day.

dogmom I loved the flasher bunny, that was pretty cute, lol!

Lacey, a martini? Gee that sounds great! We have leftover Pizza and I may just pop a bud light with it.. What the heck...

Just when I was feeling better, a couple hours ago I was sitting right here, went to put my laptop down on the sofa beside me, and pulled a major muscle in my butt, er...lower right back. So...now I am in pain. I just took a darvocet, found the heating pad...guess I will hobble myself to the chiropractor tomorrow, I am not messing with this..

Painter, wow you had a bad cooking day. May I ask, did the boys get the broccoli when it flew all over the room? Mine are always waiting with bated breath for anything that drops when I cook. they are not picky, they love veggies, I've even seen the dalmatian nibble onion. I just hope for your sake they don't get broccoli farts...ewww...

Painter...windy and rainy here too..almost 1.10 in so far since midnight..now if we were still living in SoCal it would be STORMWATCH. and that would be after a drizzle, lol. One thing I have to say, the natives here know how to drive in weather.

Ok will check in later...will take a shower and see if that makes me feel more human a little later on...

Hoppy Easter everyone and God spread many blessings on you all...

Well that didnt take much, opened the gate and she reared up and charged to her stall. Gosh she is fast but all I had to do is lock up the stall front- done till morning. Normally I put the lead on her and take her in, she is so good, never problems.

dogmom I have to ask how did the laptop hurt your hmmm butt? Sounds like something I would come up with you know, lol.

There are 'nado warnings east of me, in LA/Miss. gosh o' miley they will probably head my way overnite. saw them in TX earlier and thought they were heading west for some stupid reason. do they ever go East to West? All I know is I DON'T WANT ANOTHER STINKIN' STORM, DANG IT...

Hi everyone,

Back from the trip to Missouri...we also had a close call with tornadoes on Thursday night. We went out to dinner, and heard that there were going to be strong storms west of Springfield (about 45 minutes west of us). Well, by the time we got back, the radio emergency broadcasting system was in full effect, warning of doppler signature rotation and four possible tornadoes, to the point where the announcer said "I've never seen anything like this". At one point, there was a tornado on the ground and headed "northwest" of Mansfield...exactly where we are located. The warning said to go to our "safe place immediately". The wind, rain, and lightning were awe inspiring. Luckily, the storm passed by us with the advance of a cold front and then part of the same storm hit Mena, Arkansas. I think a few people died there. Painter, that is so sad about that Mom and her baby. I hope Crazyma is ok. On a more upbeat note, we stopped in West Virginia at the Wheeling Island Casino, and won a $906 jackpot on the dollar machine

Hope everyone is well and enjoying what the Easter Bunny brought. Will have to read back quite a bit to catch up.

HouseHappy,
I hope your daughter feels better soon.

NJ,
Good to see you!

I think I was going to say something to someone else, but I can't remember what or who. Hmm.

The kids and I had a pretty good Easter. Even though dh is in TX and my mom was working. After church, we came home and changed clothes. I crashed on the couch while the kids watched Ben-Hur on TV. It was their first time seeing it and they said it was a really good movie. They watched The Ten Commandments on TV for the first time last night (Saturday night) and really liked it too.

We didn't have an Easter dinner since it was just us and I was really tired.

DH should be coming home this week, hopefully.

Oh, and I'll be adding a picture of the kids in their Easter outfits to my album. It's private, so you'll have to be my friend to see it.
