Stoy, what a cute furbaby!

Barb, I hope you are feeling better tonight.

CDCDGuy....good luck on your showing. I never heard any feedback re: my showing ....oh well.

On the bright side of things....I have 2 long week-end get-a-ways planned!

The first week-end in May I am going to KY for derby week-end. I go every year. I go to the races the day before the derby called The Oaks (run for the lillies). On the day of the derby, we go to the Riverboat Casino in Indiana (right over the border) and we watch the derby there and do our betting!!

The last week-end in May I am going to AUSTIN, TEXAS (my soul's home)!!!

They were asking DH about the square footage as we were leaving because they didn't know anything about the house, probably not even the list price!.
Lucy,

Tell your agent you need a folder with brochures in the house for those "last minute" folks. I always give one to my clients, which includes a take away copy of the MLS detail sheet of your lisiting and (stay in the folder) copies of our disclosure documents, lead paint disclosures (if needed) and the utility recap sheets. That way if the showing is impromptu, which you are certainly having, they have all the info on your house to take with them. Also, if you agree to a "last minute" showing, I would tell them they can come and see it, but not to expect showroom condition. Most buyers will understand that they are intruding.

Finally, I always have a brochure box outside. When I restock it, I run, say 40 copies off, put 30 outside and give my seller the last 10. I tell them when they put the last 10 in the box, to call me and leave me a message that they are out. There is nothing more irritating to drive bys who stop to get a flyer than to not find one!
Good Luck!

Hi Campers!

Just checking in with the gang. Stoy, saw your? new furbaby? What a cute photo!

Well, I FINALLY got word yesterday at noon that the closing which was supposed to happen last Friday was finally APPROVED to close and our closing is set for Tuesday afternoon. WOOOOHOOOOOOOO. I put my new listing on the water up this week and already have a showing booked for tomorrow evening at 7:30. Perfect time to show it and we are to have a sunny day tomorrow. Also got an REO approved in a matter of 2 days, closing on that coming up May 15.

Also applied for a part time job at local school as a computer tech. Wish me luck! Even with the closings, I need $ that I can count on every week, and this is only 15 hrs, so could easily fit in around showings/ listings.

Painter, how are you doing? Tex? Are you all recovered?
I am cooking on Sunday for my aunts family, my folks and my brother and then we are going to take a plate up to my aunt that had the stroke. Shes in the rehab unit at least til May 1. I am so grateful she was with my cousin and not alone when it happened. It could have been so much worse!
Hope you all have a GREAT Easter.
Jody

Hey all, Well another exciting day coming to a close. The dang bird is still trying to nest, even after I took the planters and moved them, by morning I will probably have awhole dang flock!
The tornados in TN went through my old neighborhood, so far all the friends I could reach are okay, including the ex-he was 2 blocks away when it touched down and watched it. It shook him abit to say the lease. Caught a brief sight of the old house too. Strange seeing it on t/v.

As for last minute lookers, bring em him and hog tie them suckers! I do have the folder as suggested by Jody, incl. a copy of inspection, and survey and prior appraisal, which of course don't mean didley crap now.

On another surprise, an old friend that I have tried to find many a times over the yrs popped into my e-mail tonight! He was a true hippy, lol, had so much fun in the ole days! No girls, none of that free love pooey, just good friends. Hope to hear from him soon.

Crazyma, YOU HAD BETTER CALL HOME! Atlanta his getting nailed and we want to know you are OK!

Evening...campers...was feeling a bit better earlier, but achy tonight and this cough..I am in so much pain from coughing..its like the crud is stuck...sounds gross I know..sorry

Was hoping to go to the Olympia Dachshund Meet up tomorrow with my little guy, had to beg off..I will be lucky to get showered tomorrow. I am so tired and my resistance so low from fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue...well I want to cry and so tired of all this....got some night time cough stuff..maybe if I can sleep it will help..at least I don't have to worry about going to a job...

We had wanted to go out to our favorite winery on the coast on Sunday for their Easter Brunch..if I am feeling better tomorrow will have dogpaw call and see if there is room...sounded so wonderful...if not, well probably go out to eat or bring in burgers...right now nothing sounds good.

Good luck on your job Jody..I worked for many years for the schools....if I could work I would go that route again..

Well, I am boring, nothing new..Oh Painter, Mockingbirds..do they chase the boys? My folks had one years ago that went after their cat. and it was a BIG cat....dive bombed him..

Ok later over and out

Hey, y'all. I hope you're all doing well.

Welcome, new folks. It's good to have you.

Good luck to those of you with showings.

My husband finally came home on Monday (he was in TX on business for a few months, for those who don't know), but now he's back in Texas again. They flew him back out there early yesterday morning. They were having problems and needed him. Well, the kids and I need him too. He hopes to be home by the end of the week.

My son Sean turned 12 on Thursday. Seems like only yesterday he was a baby.
