People who are rich are frugal, spend their money wisely, sound investments in the stock market (401K, IRA's), Real Estate, etc.
That might apply to the first generation that built the fortune but most women are after guys from the third and fourth generation. Nearly always good looking but no frugality there.
Incidentally, women don't consider men to be frugal, it's "cheap" and that is considered a major negative, certainly not a virtue.
For some reason, most good-looking, intelligent women also tend to be insecure and neurotic. Well, most intelligent women anyway.
I can recall several at college who stated rather matter-of-factly that their parents weren't funding their university education for them to settle for the vast majority of the guys they encountered there.
For many, it was their last, best chance to snag what their parents thought was an appropriate catch. Joining the country club was beyond their means.
I recall an article in the NYT a year or two back where the thrust was that with 2/3 of undergrads now women, "the competition was fierce". However, if one carefully read between the lines, it was apparent that they were mainly looking for the same narrow slice of undergrad men that they were 30 or 40 years ago and the "odds" were probably little worse.
Afterall, it is average guys without connections who have come to realize the futility and massive debt incurring expense that college has become. Attendance by wealthy kids has likely not declined and the sex ratio for them is still probably 60% male. Their attendance might even being increasing because college courses are now so much easier.

Having done the taxes of the wealthy I am in a better position than you and have a better idea of who these wealthy girls go for. It is not the boys from the country club set. They don't have anything that they don't already have. They go for very good looking guys who they think they can control with daddy's money. Sometimes they can. Daddy usually tries to find them a job in his company where they will be kept busy.

Frankly, you're not in a better position to tell me anything about this simply b/c you've done some taxes, but w/e. Clearly you've convinced yourself that women only want men's money. The same way I beleive 'other things' about men. Men think rich women, middle class women and poor women want their money. If in fact she's rich herself now she wants the boys from the other side of the tracks for controlling purposes. LOL. Women are blood suckers, alright I get it.
So as I said before the men complaining about this wouldn't know what to do with a woman with a job and her own money no more than they would with the women they claim are out to get all their money. Hats off to these other women out there, clearly there's plenty of 'winners' to choose from. This is a side note: but I think most of these men should seriously consider dating/sleeping with other men. Women seem to be causing nothing but dread in their lives.
How about "date a hot, exciting, very intelligent man and don't worry about the rest because if he's smart AND charming AND good-looking he has probably figured out a way to leverage all of that into avoiding welfare but in this economy not even that is a guarantee so just go for the guy who turns you on physically, emotionally, and intellectually because money comes and goes but a good man is forever?"
