I don't know why you think that. How do you see that playing out in the day to day?
Feminists don't hook up with "traditional" guys. They know "traditional" men don't like them, and seek "traditional" women, the kind that wouldn't even utter the word "feminist." It's called the Barnes and Noble cafe or Starbucks test, or just look around at co-workers and see their spousal situations.
And what I'm saying, and what others have said, is that such self-identification tends to deflate the third leg. Equality has been here for a long time. In the New Millenium, identifying as a feminist is off-putting.
Those would be some pathetically insecure, wimpy men, if it's to be believed. Nobody I'd be interested in. "Real" men don't feel outdone by a girl. Only sissy men do. Give me a real man!

Lots of women don't hook up with "traditional" guys. Lots of men don't hook up with "traditional" women. Different attitudes and values appeal to different people.
My boyfriend is fairly traditional. I'm not, especially...not really been a problem.

So, then, Tiger Woods, Steve Young, and practically every other professional athlete who chooses a "traditional" woman is a sissy? No. They are just exercising their ability to choose the "pick of the litter."

What's a "traditional" guy? What's the Barnes & Noble, and the Starbucks test? (Barnes & Noble closed in my town.) I've never thought in terms of "traditional" guys, and non-traditional. There's just guys.

Oh, Lordie... Are dumb professional athletes the benchmark now?

Professional athletes aren't exactly the best role models for having great, long lasting relationships....
And how many of those 'traditional' women actually use their husbands wealth and prestige to start their own companies? I know there are quite a few professional athlete wives that have clothing and accessory lines.

*grunt* "Me Tarzan, you Jane!"
