Good grief. Even if we do pay for a date, we can't even try to save a couple of bucks off of it? With the recent recession I'd hope everyone would be a little bit more frugal and focus on getting value for your money.
Yeah - like I said before, in real life, for most people - this isn't even an issue. However, here on CD - you'd think the ritual "paying of the bill" was the only thing that happened on a date! On CD, the vocal minority on one side thinks that a woman who doesn't pony up her share of the bill is basically a hooker - and the vocal minority on the other side thinks that a man who doesn't pay is a miserly a-hole. Oh - and then the others who think that a guy who pays automatically thinks he's owed sex.
I think that most people don't even give it a second thought! Well, I guess the people that like dating and enjoy other people's company!
I completelly agree with you. I have never had this discussion in real life. And i have never been asked to pay ...when i have offer to pay 99% of the time i have been rejected by the man.

A coupon? Where the hell are you taking her for dinner? lol
Now, although they're kind of the same, if you went to a nice resturant and paid with a gift card...then I dunno, that's fine to me if you don't have much cash, but you'd still like to treat your lady to a nice dinner.

Who says we would let the girl know about the coupon? We are the ones who are supposed to pay right? How would she see the coupon if we are handling the check?
