If you're not logged in, there are ads. There are tons of lurkers not logged in. After that, it is all about clicks. The more clicks, the more ad revenue generated. Tons of sites operate like this. There are similar platforms which we've all encountered (and probably hate) where you want to read a story and it makes you click "next slide" forever. That's also a form of click based revenue generation.

Did anyone watch the game yesterday?

We only usually watch the Superbowl, we're not big sports fans here. I thought it was a great game. Those ones where they just go back and forth and toe to toe is really interesting. When one team just dominates it can be kind of boring.

Thought the half time show was just meh, but I'm not into that kind of music with all of the background dancers and all of that schitck. Like some good ol fashioned hard rock baby!!

I don't watch sports ball. I've tried, but the main thing that drives me nuts about football games is that it seems like for every 30 seconds of action on the field, they have to stop and do ten minutes of talk dissecting every little thing...and I don't understand the minutia of it and never have. I mean I get the overall point of trying to move a ball from down there, to over here, without the other team stopping you, and the other team wanting to take the ball and try to get it to the other side...but beyond that very vague premise I'm lost and I just don't care enough to learn.

And Rihanna? Well. Not really my thing either. I also prefer rock in general over pop music or whatever with the dancers and all that. Yep. Right there with ya, Chow.

Though there is a COVER of one of her songs, that is kind of obscure, that I love love love love. The guy who is singing it, is one of the creators of the Venture Bros cartoon, Doc Hammer...he's a 90s goth rock guy. I know, most of us (me) don't necessarily play videos that are shared, but really I swear, this song is...well, it's damn good. It has a place on several of my playlists.

My favorite Rihanna performance is Tom Holland's Umbrella number from Lip Synch Battle:

I didn't watch one minute of the game (I didn't have a Superb Owl party to go to, and I don't care, otherwise,) but I did watch part of the Puppy Bowl.

2 thoughts...

1. Not for the first time, pondering how I've seen corsets and similar be one hell of a good look on men.

2. That last move at the very end looked painful. Well. It would hurt if I attempted it, I'm certain.

Absolutely love his performance! And I will admit that I have watched it a few times

I watch the BIG Game because I really like football, and it was a pretty good game. I also like to see the commercials and some of the ones this year were good.

The halftime show was visually interesting, but her lip-singing was a disappointment. In my opinion, no one will ever top Prince.

I'm so clumsy, so watching people who have dance training is amazing because their bodies are so strong and so fluid, and their joints bend in ways I can't even comprehend.

I watched the Super Bowl. Football and hockey are the only sports I like. I wasn’t as excited about the game this year, but that might be because I think I was fighting a bug that’s going around. I wasn’t impressed with the commercials either. They weren’t as entertaining as previous years, and there were a couple where I said, “Huh?”. Out load. In my living room. To myself. lol

I like watching how they can run down the side line without stepping out, while looking over their shoulder for the ball, then jumping up to catch it. And catching it. I would have to keep stopping to see where my feet are, and I’d have to stop to rest. LOL. There are too many times when I wonder why they run up the middle when that’s where all the other guys are. It seems to me that they should try to run around them. But that’s just me. Sitting on my couch.

One thing about ALL sports that I don’t understand is the reason why spectators high-five each other. They’ve been sitting on their backsides holding a beer. They didn’t have anything to do with the score. LOL

Watched it a few times before too, and still got choked up for some reason I love when people are good at what they do and aren’t afraid to show it.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
