I always thought he and Layne Staley had heavenly voices and usually just stopped everything whenever one of their songs came on .
Yeah, I was a real fan of AIC, great stuff. That damn heroin is the devil if there ever was....... Truly sad stuff I still play their first album a lot and that sucker came out in 90 or 91, I forget. Heck, I was just a little pup then. LOL.

I really dug on that Seattle sound. I remember when Nirvana broke, a whole new subgenre was created by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, AIC. There are a few other bands that sorta started that wave too, Mudhoney was part of that wave but they aren't as well know. Nirvana brought it to the mainstream.
I know we're not supposed to speak of such matters, but some of the frozen threads seemed legit to me, and one that smells fake is still going. Now that many schools are out we'll probably have more people with more time on their hands.
And speaking of school being out, I don't remember the last day of school being before Memorial Day ever, but plenty of my friends with kids are talking about it being summer break.
