Well you know, by definition the earth is flat. You see, flat means equidistant from a parallel point. Now if the point is a .... well, point, then the surface of the earth is equidistant from the point at the centre of the earth. Just like a circle is a straight line relative to a point at the centre of a circle.

But what I would like to know is if the earth is a flat disc then what lies beyond the 'horizon' or above the 'dome' that is the sky? Where is the sun in this scenario? Or has Satan being lying to someone?

Did he lie when he told them that when they ate from the tree of knowledge that they would become like G-d?...
Just to be clear, the tree wasn't simply the tree of knowledge...rather, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Also, Satan never told Eve that if she and Adam ate of this tree that they would be like G-d...rather, that they "shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
So no...Satan did not technically "lie" when he preached that Eve and Adam would be "as gods knowing good and evil.
You however, are preaching a lie (unwittingly) when you state that satan said Eve and Adam would become like G-d.
When The Lord God said "the man is become as one of us"...the "one of us" He is referring to is Satan...NOT G-d. G-d doesn't "know" good and evil...if He did, His claim of being a Holy G-d would be invalid.
