You are in error. God made mortals to know only good, it was mortals who rebelled against God and caused this system. No death would ever have occurred if they did not eat of that tree. They didn't until Eve was lied to. But her and Adams choice caused this system. Gods kingdom will be a cure all.
If God created mortals to know only good then how could they rebel?

Exactly! If this is what happend then we have clear and indisputable evidence that the product was defective to begin with. An unforeseen design fault or a deliberate act. Either way, the buck stops with ol' Yahweh.

Hang on - you say God made mortals? So they were not made immortal? Therefore eating of the forbidden fruit did not cause them to die? We know they didn't die immediately (which means Eve was not lied to - someone else lied to them about surely dying).

Not according to Yahweh - he seems hellbent on blaming us!

They were kicked out of Gan Eden to prevent them from eating from the tree of life and living forever...
Two points:
Either they were created mortal...
Or
Since G-d had told them that they could eat from any tree in Gan Eden, they were, in fact, eating from the tree of life, which sustained their youth, for only the tree of knowledge was forbidden, so, therefore, kicking them out and barring the way to the tree of life they no longer had access to it and began to age...
The serpent didn’t lie when it said that eating from the tree of knowledge would open their eyes and they would become like G-d, because G-d confirmed this to be the case later...
Which brings me to another thought, perhaps the story of Satan being jealous of G-d and wanting to replace Him is a metaphorical story about us...

The story of the 'fall' of Satan/demons' is just a way that human can comprehend the big picture, jealousy, pride are things we can relate to and understand...we are not able to fully grasp a creator God making a being like satan and using him in the ways he does though, that is something we cannot relate to or comprehend, at the end of the day, the story of the fall is just that...a story, metaphorical so we can relate to and understand.

The most assuredly died spiritually in Gods view the very first day( mortal day) The bible says-1000 years is as a day to God. So he did not lie in either sense. Adam died within a day to God.

Actually all have free will. God wants his creations to use that free will to listen to his advice to find the best path to lasting happiness. Few do.
Satan lied to Eve to get her to rebel. All have free will.
But she still couldn't have rebelled if "God made her to know only good." She'd have just stared at the serpent in confusion, then wandered off to go eat the approved stuff.
She could not have rebelled unless God created her not only capable of rebelling, but created her to lean more toward rebellion than "good," hence choosing it (rebellion).
