How about this? Don't be a douchebag, don't try to impress people, and stop trying so hard. On St. Patty's day I was out, and there were these two doofuses trying to hard to hook up with a bachelorette party.

They were buying them shots, drinks, and the whole nine yards, and they got nowhere. When the ladies did the shots, they didn't even get a thank you. Why? Because they were trying way too hard and they were, well, doofuses.

On the other hand, I managed to get one of them to buy me a drink, and while she was paying she whispered to me "get these idiots away from me."

Why? Because I wasn't an idiot, I wasn't trying too hard, and I was just chill and relaxed instead of acting like I've never seen an attractive woman who wanted to talk to me before.

I've noticed this too, I believe the greater diversity and larger population help play a role. The "douchebag" seems to have better luck in more than less of SD. Of course, there are no shortage of those in LA also.

It's true. I visit San Diego for at least a night every time I go to Southern California, and I don't think I've ever seen a group of women in any of the bar/ night club areas. You see a nice looking woman, she's with a guy. About 10 guys, in most cases. To be fair to SD, however, I'm noticing this in a lot of cities. Could just be American culture anymore. Young women are a lot more marriage oriented now. That window of partying seems to close in their early 20s, where as when I was in my 20s, a lot of women weren't getting serious until around their late 20s.

Clearly, you have never seen the line to get into Fluxx. Lots of women, most without men. Of course, it's because that place has a fat cover for men to get in and they try to keep the ratio good but...
