I don't care for visiting cities that much. If I happen to be in one for some reason it's nice to have places to go to pass the time but other than that I don't really have desire to make a city a destination.

I don't care much for night life other than dinner when traveling...would rather go and do from morning til evening then collapse at hotel at night.

My other unpopular opinion: middle seat on a plane is not the end of the world.
Middle seat is not the end of the world, but I think you can see it from there. Or maybe it’s hell you can see. I forget which.

Agreed. For me, it’s dinner at (hopefully) a good eatery, then back for a shower, write about the day in a little book, then get some serious shuteye. I’m usually a bit tired after a long but rewarding day of sightseeing.

Nightlife and clubbing and such isn’t my thing. Never was, actually. If feeling really ambitious, might take in a classical music concert or evening hours at a museum, but that’s it.

Amen. I believe travel is one of the most drama-queen inciting activities on earth in terms of reality versus how it is described.

So, not a big fan of museums, iconic buildings, theater or fine dining, huh?

I do like museums, but I'm not gonna travel to someplace like Chicago or NYC just for that. Same with iconic buildings. Nice to see them, but I'm not dying to travel for that. Could take or leave the theater. Same with fine dining. Plus if I really need fine dining. There are places in Houston for that. No need to fly somewhere.

Car/motel is cheaper than RV travel.

I thought Italy sucked but can't say that to anyone cuz everyone loooves Italy. Really it was the Italians that made it miserable. Really looked forward to going there, heard great things, but 90% of the people were rude, tried to rip us off overcharging, when I smiled and was polite they glared and were rude. But I got some insight on why New Jersey people act the way they do.

I prefer beaches in small doses. I can't stand going somewhere and just sitting on a beach. If I want to sit around I can do it at home for free.

At the very least my lodging MUST be reserved in advance.

I hate clubs and am not a fan of bars. I can drink at home for much cheaper.
